If you're like me and don't like having to drink potions all the time or you just get bored grinding DCave, here are some alternate spots for grinding combat xp. In some cases, these spots yield more xp per minute than in DCave.

Please note that the xp shown is the amount of xp I get with 190% xp bonus, and that I am comparing spawn rates and xp rate to DCave without totem. I get 6k xp killing the minions and 32.5k killing the mini-boss in DCave.

    New Dragonling Cave
    [IMG]

    Coords: 1380 80 -4435
    XP per kill: 15k
Spawn Rate: Slightly lower than DCave
    XP Rate: Higher than DCave

This cave offers multiple different kinds of Dragonlings, all of them weak to air (except some of those on the surface). They have quite high hp (~60k) and fire and thunder defenses though. These Dragonlings do hurt though but at least they don't have flamethrower.

    Depth Monster Cave
    [IMG]

    Coords: 1201 131 -4392[IMG]
    XP per kill: 13k
Spawn Rate: Much Lower than DCave
XP Rate: Slightly lower than DCave

This cave used to house Dragonlings, and now they currently house Depth Monsters. They are a little bit weak to fire and have a little bit defense against air and thunder. When grinding correctly, you could grind for days without needing a potion since they do not use spells. They drop a 1 star ingredient called demonic blood from time to time. If you manage to kill all the Depth Monsters, just walk outside the cave and grind some "Fake Crokees" (Silver Conture) for extra xp. These little birbs die in one arrow bomb.

    Skypirates
    [IMG]
    Coords: 1434 83 -4354[IMG][IMG]
    XP per kill: 3.3k
    Spawn Rate: Higher than DCave
    XP Rate: Lower than DCave

This area is where the quest Royal Trials is. These skypirates only have 11k hp, don't use spells, and are neutral mobs, so killing them should be easy and should not require a potion when done right. You could even camp on top of a roof and just spam spells. They also drop quite a bit of loot (~full inventory per 15 min using ~100% loot bonus). Since these skypirates only have 11k hp, you can use your xp weapon for even more xp per min unlike the others. If you kill them too fast, don't worry; this is a huge place with ~4 possible grinding spots, so just move around.

    Dragonling Nest (@YYGAYMER)
    Coords: 943 95 -5010
    XP per kill: 55k
Spawn Rate: 1 at a time
    XP Rate: Higher than DCave

This spot is really good. Although only 1 Dragonling mother (130k hp!) spawns at a time, as soon as you kill her, she respawns within 3 seconds. The Dragonlings are quite weak to earth and have quite high defenses against water. The babies are an added benefit as well. There's one catch: only archers can benefit really well here because they can camp at one spot as shown in the picture and just arrow storm straight down.

    However:
"This spot has been patched (I'd assume fairly recently) so it doesn't benefit archers in the way it used to, as they added more barriers around the area around the upper level. You can still kite the mob over to an area and then leap upward to arrow storm it to death though, so still a decent spot nonetheless (just not as good as it used to be)." from @Shots

    Mirror Cave (@Shots):
    Quoted from Shots:
"My xp bonus: 92% (level 88 archer)
    Cords: 1310 X, 100 Y, -4300 Z (Near Sky Raider's Base)
Xp per kill: 3-5k for the normal mobs, 125k-150k for the miniboss (this is based on the xp for my level 88 archer, so the closer you are to the level of these mobs, which is about 96-100, the more xp you'll get).
I haven't gone to grind at Dcave that much, so I can't really say for sure how they compare in terms of solo grinding.

The mobs here are relatively easy to kill. The reflecters have weakness to earth and do damage in everything except earth, while the emissaries have weakness to fire and damage/resistance in thunder/air. The reflecters do have a second phase but it barely gives any xp at all and has extremely low hp (might be 1hp tbh), so those are pretty irrelevant. They can use teleport and vanish which can make them a bit annoying to find, but if you're using aoe spells constantly (like you usually are when grinding) you should be fine. Both only have about 20-25k hp.

There's also the mini boss, a.k.a the Man in the Mirror (I just call him the mirror man), which only has roughly 80k hp, has no elemental damage, but has all elemental defenses (not terribly high though, since my spiritshock is doing roughly 5-6k bombs to him when my usual average is 6-7k. Killing him results in lots more xp than the other mobs, being about 125-150k as stated before at 92% xp bonus and 12 levels under the mob itself (which is level 100). Similar to the other mobs, he also has vanish (and maybe teleport, kind of hard to tell though). He also has heavy charge, so you still need to be careful when he casts a spell because of this. Unfortunately, his spawnrate can be pretty inconsistent at times. Sometimes he'll spawn within the course of 5 seconds, other times he'll have to take a full minute to come back again. On average, it seems to be about 20-30 seconds, sometimes slightly shorter or longer.

Edit: At level 93 I'm getting 5-6k much more consistently from the normal mobs and 150-180k from mirror man (same xp bonus).

Edit 2: At 102 (same xp bonus) I'm getting about 5.5k-7k xp bonus from the mobs and 175-210k from Mirror Man"

    ------------------

If you want my opinion for the highest xp rate, grind Dragonling Nest as an archer/hunter alone and skypirates when grinding other classes alone, and grind DCave when grinding with a group. New Dragonling Cave is okay for both alone and with a party too from the looks of it, but be prepared. I'm not sure how totem affects spawning neutral mobs, but it if does increase their spawn rate, that would make skypirates an even better place.

I agree. I went there as a Dark Wizard to the same spot and tho I could use meteor, it was just not fast enough damage as an archer can do. So, I just went down to floor level (R-L-R). There are more "Whelp" eggs (level 20) under the ledge that can be attacked than standing on the ledge. Each egg spawns 2 Whelps.

I went to check on skypirates because I was semi-bored and their hp went up to 11k, a 2k increase. Still worth it though when grinding solo.

Myself and a few others say the dragonling cave (first area you mentioned) might even better than D-Cave, especially if you're in a group.

Cosmic Set plus Altum Spatium is 175% if you have perfect in all of them. Most people don't, but a few rerolls is usually enough to get over 150%. In that case 190% is probably Knucklebones + Rarities or something.

Just checked out Skypirates, Mirror Cave, and New Dragonling Cave. Skypirates give less xp than before, but it's still decent for a chill grind. I was not able to check out Mirror Cave well due to the annoying teleport blindness, but I personally don't think it's great due to the somewhat unpredictability of teleport, making you take way more damage than in other grinding spots. Dragonlings give way more xp than before, making them much more viable as a grinding spot.
