Melody of Reckoning was made by Sage in this case, and I enjoy the sort of baroque feel to it, but I can agree that it's probably the weakest boss theme we have. If it were orchestral, then it could probably work better, but of course we don't have that.

I'm glad World Ender's getting appreciation though! Originally I wanted to recreate Ferocious Foe, a Needlr song that was only on his Soundcloud, but I wasn't able to get the minutiae down, so I tried to make a new song instead. I figured, with how the Corrupter battles, and how the fight works, the worst thing you could possibly do against him is panic...

...so let's just make every possible aspect of the fight panic-inducing, right down to the music! It's practically nothing but tritones! I'm pretty satisfied with the conclusion myself, though the reaction I got originally was "fitting, but I wouldnt jam to it" by Salted, so I was pretty worried it'd turned out badly.

 

Huh, Melody of Reckoning is one of my favorites, I like how it fits the style of battle - Amadel kind of hovering around shooting at you, plus some massive amount of health iirc. I did like World Ender but don't keep it on my playlist because it's kind of jarring to listen to a song that fast outside of the CoW fight.

 

Well, what’s your opinion on headset explosion earraping drums countdown to corruption?
I feel it’s one of the better ones.

 

I don't listen to music on high volume so it's never been that loud for me, but I see what you mean - even when I turn down the volume, the arrangement makes it sound louder than it is. I really like the song, would be nice if the area was made a little nicer though.

 

So I just listened Traveling At Dusk in Youtube vs In-game, honestly feel the in-game one is much, as in the song is much better when slowed down.
Really missed this music from the Desert...

 

I really don't like the Light's Hymn theme to be honest, compared to the pre light forest area and the light forest itself, it's a bit on the lackluster side, and doesnt really fit the entire scheme of a world beyond imagination and purification being corrupted, darkened, and thrown into chaos.

 

The intro and general bassline for the Emerald Labyrinth song sounds wayy to similar to the Corkus plains theme. (At least in my ears)

So I think "Trespassers will be Excised" could need a rework to fix that.

Speaking of the Emerald Labyrinth, I always thought it should be remade to have a much more "intense" feeling. Think of something like The Great Race (but still less intense than that)
It's such a stressful area I think it deserves an intense theme

 

I'm gonna be honest, With the type of lag I usually get I don't really think it's even possible to turn noteblock sounds on without getting ear raped.

 

Noteblock sounds lag a lot less than they used to. I don't remember what patch changed this, I feel like it was 1.17.7 though.
