What gate?

 

So it's a city. With towers to defend. And nothing to stop people from walking straight through tje defense?

 

There are towers, they are pretty thin.
There’s also a bridge between two towers but one has collopsed.
Not that you can see.

 

Boindil keeps walking

 

You pass the towers into the city.
The figures walking around ignore you.

 

Further into the city, you see a large building on an elevated stone platform, with stone steps leading up. The building is lacking a roof and significant parts of the walls. Its white (although somewhat sandy) gates are still intact.
There are seven smaller house-like building in total, all seem to have different roof heights.

 

Divine Sight just incase. :p

 

You are almost blinded, as your sight lights up with a crackling black aura around every figure except for you 5.

 

Any females?

And the five are the ones in the party, right?

Their skin is pulled tight over their skull, and they're covered in sand.

That building is in the complete center of the city, and mind you, the city is big.

They are... undead

That is the gate of a building, not the actual city.

Like.
uh... what's a good example I can use.
Typically goblins are those small annoying monsters that come attack and are a general annoyance.
But goblins can be ... more sentiment? (based on the fact that they can be used as player races).
So although most goblins are probably bad, there's a few that won't rob and kill me first few chances they get.

But as for undead- are they all the same? Mindless creatures that attack at first sight, etc.
Like, obviously they don't attack at first sight, but like...
Are they "good" in the broad sense of the term?

Sorry if I'm being really confusing with this, it's really hard for me to describe. :/

 

Undead can have different mindsets, depending on how they became undead
