An Actual Abandoned Modern Day Rpg [5/?]

I'm going on a trip far away so my typing speed will greatly deteriorate (as in I will have less time to type/plan).
I have a few thoughts, but have yet to write anything down on paper

Well... there really isn't much else to do...

The roleplay is currently on Sandbox Mode for the rest of Day 1 unless you decide to start the Fate vs M.S.A.A. subplot... which can be achieved through simply going to the Starbucks they own... maybe I should've mentioned that to everyone.

Evidently, there are more subplots but the only available one as of now is the Fate vs M.S.A.A. one unless one of you accidentally stumbles over the activation of another subplot.

Oops I suddenly got addicted with playing Cookie Clicker during the Weekend and exponentially became busy.

Since there isn't much to do now, and with the entire thing being mostly wrapped up, I suppose I will head back to the student hostel (Brooklyn).

Walking there, I also passed by my school, located still in Manhattan. With it being this late, there really isn't much point going back to class, but I suppose a small visit outside the gate wouldn't hurt. Trinity High Academy of Magic. It is a pretty decent magic school, with the buildings being quite old and antique now, red brick walls and stuff. It doesn't really employ the fancy entrances like that top magic school Hogwarts in Britain, since there isn't really a need to brag and make it really confusing for new and old students to get in the building. Most of the pupils there, I would consider friendly, albeit some could be quite jerkish (with a bit of an extra nose for trouble and pranks). Then again, I haven't been in this school long enough to really judge it for what it is yet. I registered last week.

Speaking of which, I probably have a lot of explaining to do when I head back again. Eh, save those troubles for later me in a later date.

Fast forward to 3:42 pm!

After crossing over to Brooklyn, I finally arrive in my Student Hostel. It really would had saved me a lot of time if I just taken a cab or public transport, except for the fact that I didn't really seem to have brought my wallet with me anyways. It seems like I only have my staff!

Wait a second...

With that realization that I don't have my wallet on me, I also realized that I didn't bring my keys to go into my student hostel. (Big Oof) They are probably in the hostel right now.

Well... this is awkward. Now I just have to pray that my roommate is in the hostel, and happens to be able to open the door for me (Alternatively, I can break into the room legally and illegally at the same time).

I knock on the door. "Karen? Are you there? It's me. Rose."

No answer. I knock again. Pizza delivery!!! No answer. Welp, looks like my phone, wallet, spare glasses and keys are all locked behind that stinking door. Great!!

I guess I was a little bit too hopeful then. Usually, at this time, she spends her afternoon with her laptop at Starbucks studying or catching up with her friends. I know that, because I always saw her there, right after school. And she always goes to the same one - the one in the middle of Manhattan. I really wonder what's so special about that specific Starbucks, that brought her to that one? Usually she says the other coffee shops aren't as great as that one...

If I do recall, James did mention something about one of the Starbucks in the city being owned by the Fates guys. Eh, I will put that thought to the side. It is probably just a coincidence, after all, Karen has always went there and came back unhurt, totally fine.

I guess I shall leave to look for Karen at Starbucks.

 

I will take a nap while leo guards me probably for 1 to 2 hours

Eh, I got readdicted to my piano (which isn't helping my overall pessimism... since I had a sudden attachment to depressing and deep music). I also got readdicted to google draw as seen by my pfp... and some random free game on the app store called Word Cookies or something...

Nice job giving Rose a reason to go there.

Yup since I'm not in a hurry I'll use one with the element to go home and change clothes to a black sweather with a dark gray overcoat and black jeans. Then still using the same One with the element go to starbucks.
Without dropping one with the element i should arrive in a little less then a second

Well then...

Chris appears outside of the Starbucks. It's a decently small Starbucks store with what looks like an apartment building above it.

Looking through the window, it looks like there are about three employees in the building at the moment and four customers in the building.

None of them look particularly interesting.

The time is now 3:50.

What now?

(Note it's still Sandbox mode. You have to do something specific in order to activate the subplot line).

"Yeah, sorry to bother ya," the kid throws some finger guns and walks away down the street.

What now?

As Rose blows out a breath of air frustrated about to walk for a decade just to get to some Starbucks sword, Rose hears the tapping of a cane...? noe an umbrella from behind her.

She turns around to find a young adult male, about 26, with a grey jacket, black jeans, grey shoes, grey / blackish hair, grey eyes, and light skin (German or British). His umbrella is an old school black umbrella with a wooden handle.

He stops tapping the ground with his umbrella and it starts to glow with a blue / greenish aura... reminding Rose of the colors of the Eye Totem.

"Maybe next time, you shouldn't forget your belongings," the guy says.

The blue and green aura then forms tendrils which then combine together to form something Rose recognizes, a Dark Orange Shard of Teleportation.

"Then again... I suppose it's not your fault for being teleported to Anefei's cave without warning," he sighs.

The world suddenly goes black for a second and the adult disappears. The only evidence he was there is the teleportation shard now floating next to Rose.

Well uh, now you don't have to walk cuz of my amazing fourth wall break character that likes to kill Saskia.

Before I could really respond, that strange person was gone.

My day cannot get anymore weirder. How did he know about Anefei and us? Even James and Kayla didn't really recognize us hunting down the totems from the beginning, so he must had been someone truly interesting, possibly weird.

Has he been spying on us since the beginning?

I held on that thought, then glanced at the deep orange teleportation shard, the only evidence that I was not hallucinating. It is interesting how so many people I have met today are capable of shards magic. Anafei, the Thieves, James, and now this guy. Could it be a coincidence?

Anyways, it looks like there must be a reason for giving me this shard. He must had known about what I wanted to do.

I wonder if I could actually use this crystal to teleport me into my room? That could possibly work, and I don't even need to interrupt Karen, problem solved (Easy)! Though, I am not sure how to control my destination, or perhaps the destination was already pre-determined since when it was created beforehand anyways...


Regardless, I focus my mind and try to activate the teleportation crystal. I focus my mind with a picture of my destination: Starbucks 9th Avenue, Manhattan.

(Btw if I am the only one doing this sub-plot, we can kind of run this sub-plot separately at the same time of running the main storyline session (like 2 stories at the same time?), so that we also get to do the time skip as well)
