    I know it’s against the rules to SELL dyed armour at an inflated price, but is it legal to buy it at a high price? As in the buyer is the one offering a high price for the armour, not the seller.

    Pretty sure that counts as against the rules for the seller, since he/she still sells the dyed armour

    If we are talking about glitched dyed armor (normal armor with dye on it), you are not allowed to sell it at all, as it counts as a glitched item, which are banable to sell. But I assume you are talking about old nether armor and such, in that case i would tell the buyer it is not worth more than the undyed version. If after that he still offers more, you can accept the deal, but at your own risk.
