An Actual Abandoned Modern Day Rpg [5/?]

Kinda hard to extort others when they willing hate you and doing anything for you, unless you plan on hanging the whole "I'm a destined chosen one" thing over them like turkey on a string.

Once reminded about the proper goal, I returned to this.

"Well, I suppose that was a collosal waste of time. Anyone kept track of the time?"

 

it's really hard to convince someone who can identify magic traces and stuff that an illusion is real. and even if her mind accepts it's real, you have to remember she feels double as cold than Saskia because of her negative passive from being a fire elementalist... besides the storm keeps getting exponentially colder.

Kayla doesn't respond looking weary before fishing her phone out of her pocket and looking at it covering it from the rain with her hands.

She then puts the phone away.

"I'm going to be summoning an orange teleport shard that I... somehow stole... no I mean stored." Her Catholicism seemed to show a little bit in that statement.

“...Just... tell me when you’re ready...”

What now?

To be fair, Saskia is playing with Kayla's emotions really well.

James, who already had his phone out says, "It's 2:18."

What now?

 

"About 5 to 6 hours before sundown, and then time to figure out what's next. Let's hope Kayla returns soon with that illusioner."

Honestly, I felt embarrased of the entire fight. Perhaps I have overreacted, or that I was too hasty? I can't help but feel that I was being mocked at or made fun of.

But yet, it wasn't right. That sense of heartless, cruel and uncaring attitude. Nothing about that was heroic, nor the saving the world type. Why? Why was he chosen?

No, a better question was, why are we chosen? The eight of us. Why put the world in pur hands, a bunch of randoms that is absolutely unfit to even work together in a high school team project or any team building activities. It sounded so stupid.

It really is so dumb. I don't understand it.

 

“...She hasn’t responded to my text...” James says evidently disturbed by this.

Kayla sighs.

“Here goes nothing...”

Suddenly, an orange shard appears.

The scene changes from the national park to a living room... of sorts. It looks relatively abandoned.

Kayla walks frigidly to one of the rooms and opens the door.

“I’m here James...”

“Kayla!” James exclaims running over to the now soaked and shivering girl.

“You’re going to get sick at this rate! Where did you go?” James says this while summoning his staff and summoning an orange shard creating a small fire in the middle of the living room.

“Yosemite...”

“Yos - that’s across the country!”

“I’m aware...”

“How are -“ James stops noticing Kayla’s pained expression and holding back his next question.

He then notices Saskia and says more to the group, “Oh guys, your friend is here.”

What did you expect?

I smile at Kayla, and the noticed

"Well. Just in time! Rosie, no, illusioner girl, whatever your true identity is. Welcome back to the 'team'." I greet the girl beside Kayla, as James pointed out 'our friend', and I slowly stand up.

"I think we can agree that none of us are actually cut out for this job - But here's an idea we might all agree on: The faster we get this over, the faster we can go back to our normal lives. I personally like to think of it as quite the win-win situation. Shall we go?"

 

Go to McDonald’s and buy a burger.

 

"I'm not gonna go anymore..." Kayla says evidently tired.

"...And your archer friend is outside..."

James then looks at the thief and says, "What are we going to do with him?"

are u sure ur gonna go when everyone else is ready to go to the empire state building?

 

I look at the thief and say "You won't tell anybody about this, or I'll go visit Ms.Caron, and we wouldn't want that would we?"

 

"Man you sure are a prick Daniel."
Turn to thief
"Don't steal people's things to pay for your operations. Tell your boss to git gud and learn business stuff for that starbucks of his.

 

"Screw you both," Mathias grunts before blasting the hell out of there with his wind magic.

Well... now time to get Fabio back on page with everyone else.

 

Still holding the thiefs phone I say "anybody want to call his girlfriend?"

 

Rewind time him then say
"Says the person who steals things."
Stasis him and move him a distance away facing away from us
