Kayla stays silent.

However, Saskia notices that her flames start to get weaker.

The storm seems to be wearing her down despite her focus only being on two flames.

It starts to get much colder.

What now?

 

"You should teleport yourself back home."

 

"What about you...?"

The flames begin to dwindle to a lighter orange color.

 

*yawn*
"As you said before, I don't have a way back."

 

"...What makes you think I can't teleport you back..."

 

*shrugs*
"A lot of things."

 

The flames turn yellow barely providing any heat.

“...Such as...?”

 

Slight smile.
"Anything I say will give you more reason not to send me back, so I'd rather not share."
"And funnily enough, I quite prefer the floor to the wet muddy ground."

 

"... I don't need you dying in a forest I teleported you to..." Kayla replies.

 

"Hmm."

 

The rest of Kayla's flames dwindle into nothing.

She tries to summon another flame but every attempt instantly extinguishes.

The girl then sits down against the tree and hugs her legs trying to keep warm.

"...We should go..."

 

"Except you can't."
Mirage to add the feeling of warmth to both of us.
I'm only helping her to not own her a favor later.

 

"Why do you think that...?" Kayla mutters.

 

"You would have done it already otherwise, instead of waiting out the cold."

 

"That's because I... I don't know how teleportation works . . . and I'm scared I'll screw it up . . . especially if you don't feel like cooperating..."

Kayla starts to shiver from the cold. She seems to be much more affected than Saskia by the storm.

 

"Take care of my bow. I'm going to buy a hotdog." I give my bow to Rose. "I'll be back soon." I walk out the door and go to the nearest hotdog stand.

 

You know, if Saskia really didn't care about the end of the world, she would lay on the ground and do nothing.

 

Fabio exits the door to find... a little living room. Fabio then exits the door and seems to find himself on a street in Greenwich Village.

You better doubt you'll find any hotdog stands near here.
