"Any ideas when they would be back? Kayla and the illusioner." I asked. "I have almost forgotten about them... What happens if they don't?"

You find his phone in his pocket... wow.

It's an iPhone 7S which an Otterbox phone case.

uh... sure? i guess?

"Then..." James looks a little weary. "... Then I don't know what I'd do."

That sentence tells you a lot about James' and Kayla's relationship.

"I want you to cooperate with your group... but you wanted to 'talk'," Kayla responds.

I'll take it and hack it with Manipulate Electricity. Then i go straight to messages

 

Hearing this sentence, I begin to worry for Kayla as well.

"Well... isn't there anything we can do? You are the one with teleporting powers, after all."

 

There are several contacts, one with 'Fate Leader'.

Other contacts include the names Kyle, Warris, Sar, and more cliche names... I mean what did you expect, this is the subplot.

"I don't know where she went... I only know how far. And they're far... it would make me pass out trying to teleport to Kayla. I don't even know how she teleported, she's not a Shardaic Mage."

"Can't you at least try to work with them at least...?" Kayla asks.

 

"Depends."
"Is this a request?"

 

I go read the ones with fate leader

 

I think about it, and then asked, "I assume that a Shardaic Mage is a Mage that uses shards for magic?"

 

Kayla thinks about it a little bit before saying, "Yes... this is a request..."

It's... empty.

Well... that was anti-climactic.

Seems all the texts were deleted beforehand.

"Yeah," James responds. "I am a Shardaic Mage myself. Kayla is a Major Fire Elementalist and Bow Weapon Master though... so she doesn't have any way to 'teleport'..."

 

I go to kyle next if empty i look through the next ones

 

"Then what is the pay?"

All of them are empty except for one...

One contact by the name Énora Caron.

The only text is from her with the words "Adieu Mr. Wrek."

Must've been texted after he deleted everything but oh well.

What now?

"...The pay...?" Kayla looks only slightly confused.

 

"Every job done needs compensation."

 

"Who's Énora Caron?"

 

". . . You see this as a paid job..?"

Now the thief doesn't look too happy.

He shuts up.

What now?

 

"I don't have any other reason to save the world now, do I?"
