Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Praecantatia sits upright, before putting her hands to her head and focusing.

 

Ihra waits, still uneasy.

 

A short while later, Ihra has a hand presented to her as Praecantatia removes her hands from her head.

 

Ihra seems hesitant.
"...She's willing? After... that?"

 

Caelia narrows her eyes at Ihra; though keeps her hand extended for her to take.

"Why not ask her?" Praecantatia suggests.

 

Ihra nervously takes Caelia's hand, trembling a bit.

 

As soon as she takes it, the entire world around her seems to shift. Stars and planets seem to speed by in mere seconds, before Ihra's left in a field.

"You've nothing to fear." Caelia says, a smile blooming on her face.

 

"But I... and you..."
Ihra seems to be trying to get over her fixation of fearing Caelia, albeit not particularly successfully.
"I... uh... what was it... Celeste? Caelia? The not tech-freak goddess of space?" She asks, trying to lighten her own mood.

 

"Celeste is an informal name. Caelia is the name used by mortals." Caelia explains, her voice soothing like honey. She doesn't seem to be wearing her hat, and casually lets her hair cascade across her shoulders. Her strange, twinkling space-like dress looks rather regal. Despite standing quite a few heads taller than Ihra, she kneels down slightly to be closer to her height.

 

"What do you usually do out... uh..."
Ihra glances around.
"...wherever we are?"

 

"Okay! Let's go!"

 

"Lady Gaia's Gardens. It is where you wanted to visit, was it not?" Caelia asks.

 

Ihra nods.
"I know it doesn't mean much, but I'm sorry about the outburst. Looking back, there was just... no real good way for either side to go about it, the more I think about it. Then again, maybe I'm still too young for thinking about realities in danger."

Shack seems to already be outside, Puddles with a chain in her maw.
"Ready?" He asks.

 

"I too apologize for locking you away. I only thought of the other gods, and leaving you in a remote prison seemed like the safest course of action at the time." Caelia says apologetically.

 

"Yep!"
Crystal nods.

 

“I forgive you... I just hope Gaia can forgive me.” Ihra sighs.

The bug seems to have run off.

“Well, if you could do me a favor and make sure Puddles doesn’t drop anything, I’d appreciate it.” Shack says, Puddles seeming a bit annoyed by the comment.

 

"I got it!"
He gives Puddles a thumbs-up.

 

"Be honest." Caelia says, smiling.

 

"Think we should head for the swamp?"

I'll look at the sky.

 

Ihra nods, seeming worried but intent on finding Gaia.
"Do you know which garden she's in, or do I need to try and stumble across her?"

She puts the chain down briefly.
"If you'd build walls for the pallet, things wouldn't fall off as much."
"You broke them last time I did."
"You could just rebuild them..."
"I'm not digging a nail out of you again."
"Fiiine."

The sun is starting to set.

Sure, why not? If we beat Anne there, then she can just come to us.
