It does when you have a bad teacher.

Two years ago I had a math teacher who hated me and didn't teach us anything important (although it was pre-algebra, so no biggie) and now, I have a math teacher that doesn't know how to teach, and it's geometry

also fuck geometry its full of crap and annoying as heck with most of it not being important later on

 

Our current maths teacher is like 'idc if you learn anything I just want my money'

What part of geometry you learning, maybe I can tell somethings that can help

Right now we're learning about dilations and similarity, which is easy enough to understand since it's something we did in pre-algebra. But other units we did like triangle congruence, circumscribed circles, properties of quadrilaterals, etc, were hell. The last one isn't too bad, but I didn't do well on the test because I couldn't remember all of the bullshit theorems

This. Algebra was relatively easy for me, mainly because there were set rules that you had to follow, which made sense to me and weren't too hard to remember. However, with geometry, if you forget a theorem or can't find the right one to fill out a proof, then you're fucked.

 

when i was in middle school i didnt even try to study for the theorems, but the teacher/class was easy. but yeah, the best thing i could really say is keep looking over it and stuff is the best i could say. Bunch of memorization.

also, in geometry whenever i forgot a theorem BUT it didnt need me to name it, i would use logic for the theorem.

TLDR: Study and review. Use logic if you forget what the theorem does.

also, he tries to be nice and funny, but in reality, he has the most punchable face. Like, when we were learning about triangle congruence, he told us that SSA (side side angle) wouldn't work, and then he told us to write it that way instead of ASS (he wrote ASS on the board too for everyone to see.) Also, when we were learning about circumscribed circles, he brought up that it sounded similar to "circumcised" (which, a lot of people in the room didn't know what that meant, I did though)

 

ASS does actually work.
It just isn't precise and requires alot of trial and error to be able to do it by hand. >.>
And what are circumcised circumscribed circles?

 

They're circles that are outside the triangle and touch each vertex.
