Lag In The Evening

Hello, this isn't a rant about the lags in the game, or anything,
but I wanted to aks if there is anything i could do to make the game lag less.
In the evening i often tried multiple Servers and none of them were smooth.
Is there anything i could do?

My internet Connection: 32Mbit/s
(My ping to the Wynncraft website is 26-40ms av: 34ms)
intel i7 6700k 4Ghz
16GB ram (minecraft can use 8GB)
NVidea Gforce GTX980

Minecraft 1.12.2
Mod: Optifine

 

I would lower the Render distance, For me That or set the max Framerate higher, anything to make your game run smoother
also try to keep other tabs closed while playing it helps keep the game running faster.

You're a wynn player. You'll adapt in no time to any delays.

A lag spike is just business as usual.

Keep render distance low, particles on decreased, and most importantly, go to the emptiest server if you're lagging.
Last one also works for server lag.

 

Uhh, I have half your internet speed and 160ms, intel i5, 8gb ram, and Wynn still runs smoothly but when i started using Wynntils I do get some lag spikes but not sure what is the exact cause.

 

Make sure other programs on your computer aren’t hogging internet bandwidth/ram. Chrome is pretty bad, especially with Netflix I find.

 

I used to have the same problem, Usually if the difference is really big as in for example you get 100ms at the morning and then 700-1200ms at the evening, It probably means that your ISP is fucking you over, That's at least what happened to me.
Some ISPs tend to put people on the "busy/slower lane" during rush hours.
If that really is the case, You might wanna either upgrade your internet package or just find a completely new ISP.

*Also your computer hardware such as CPU and GPU have nothing to do with your ping latency.

There was a suggestion long ago that just said "remove lag"
The staff members reacted to it, and it was hilarious, just how bad it was

also, do you have family members who come home in the evening? I used to get really bad ping when we had like 7 devices on one internet.

 

Just get an ethernet cable.

 

Thanks for your all your replies, sadly i did everything you told me, but maby i notice it so extreme because i haven't played in a long time...

 

Technically I'm not really new, I've been playing Wynncraft from 2014, came back from a year or so of not playing and started fresh with a new forum account.

 

Well that actually explains a lot.
