I wake up on the stone floor, feeling my heartbeat inside my own head. I look around, a small hazy yellow ball floats in the air a few meters away from me. As I adjust to being awake more and more people appear. Some of them seem to be having a lively discussion.

"Wha- ehm... where am I? What's going on?"

I heave myself to a sitting position, my armor scrapes the ground loudly, apparently stealing the attention from the ongoing conversation.

 

"Hello, nice armor."

 

"Thank you?"

 

Definately insane.
(I forgot to italicize the rest of my thoughts, woops)

No. I need to stay to figure out how I got here.
I take my gun out and hold it in a stance, ready to fire at the boy.

 

“Hey kiddo, do you have any spare food? Cause we’re all probably hungry.”

 

“Woah there! A gun that’s a bit extreme.l

 

“You mind putting it down? It not like everyone is hostile.” (What was the extra l for?)

Iirc, no one's attention was on me- thus I should be undetectable (to everyone but the boy who somehow noticed me. :L)
So atm, either I bring attention to myself using an illusion, or the little boy points me out.

 

Yeah Saskia is invisible to everyone else.

Anefei can see her but hasn't pointed her out.

"Twelve year olds aren't dumb!" Anefei argues.

"Okay, it goes like this..." Anefei says.

"Have any of you ever seen a Guardian Angel before?"

...

Suddenly, several yellow orbs of light start to surround Anefei forming into the shapes of wings and angels.

"They're the race that protects the world from getting destroyed! Some angels are even randomly assigned to protect one or a group of individuals!"

He then disperses all the yellow spotlights and replaces them with new yellow orbs which then form into the shape of a female angel with seven little lights taking the shape of different objects orbiting her.

"The first angel to ever exist was named Corvus, and she was the one being who could wield all seven Totems of Power!"

The angel turns back into a yellow orb before transforming into representations of the Seven Totems.

He seems to order them in terms of power.

The first totem in the line appears to be an Infinity Symbol while also somehow looking like a Sand Timer at the same time. It shimmers a semi blue and grey aura.

The second totem looks like the letter M with a dot at each point. A sixth dot is found underneath the dot in the middle of the M. The totem shimmers gold, white, and grey.

The third totem looks like a leaf, a flame, and a water droplet all at the same time and gives off a green, red, and blue aura.

The fourth totem is a ton of lines 90 degrees of each other forming a weird hard to describe symbol. The totem shimmers red and green.

The fifth totem looks like either a streak of paint or a black feather. The totem obviously shimmers grey and black.

The sixth totem looks like a white vortex / swirly tribal design. The totem shimmers pure white.

The last totem looks like an Eye. The eye is not shimmering or giving an aura at all but the totem is colored Greenish / Bluish.

"These are the totems that have shaped the world the way it is... up until recorded human history. This is because when humans started seriously recording their history around 4000-8000 years ago, Corvus disappeared..."

"The last words ever heard by her were 'If I am to ever fall into the deep during my exile, please scatter the totems and wait for the eight to appear in The Cave of Equilibrium.' She told this to Cornix, the angel of death!" (Evidently, Corvus sucks at riddling).

The representations of the totems disappear.

"This is the Cave of Equilibrium!" Anefei exclaims. "Well that's what I was told by Thaen, Kodak, Herald the Prophet, and Cornix..."

"And you're the first group of eight to ever appear in this Cave!"

"You guys are the eight!"

"You guys should get started on your adventure right away!" Anefei insists excitedly.

"I know where the first Totem of Power is located!"

"There's only 7 days until Doomsday!"

 

"Wellllllllllllllllllllll shit. Time to make out like an anime."

 

As if one would want to come near me.

This must be the cave then.
