Guide Let's Document All The New T3 And T4 Loot Chests!

As you may already know, most of the old T3 and T4 chests were either removed or relocated in the new update. I like exploring, so I decided that it is a good time to try documenting as many of these loot chests as possible, to help Loot Runs of ALL Levels and aid looking for ingredients of a specific level range (T3 and T4 Loot Chests has a decent chance at getting rare ones)!

Most chests now are hidden well deep into long cave systems (no longer open air), so I recommend scouting for long cave systems with mobs in it if you are looking for them yourself!

T3 [Lvl 35] Quicksand Bandit Cave [X 976 Y 59 Z -2105]
Desert. Travel into the Depths.

2 T3 [Lvl 35] Crystal Fanatic Cave [X 1121 Y 73 Z -2179]
Desert. Travel into the Depths straight down. For the second Tier 3 Chest, take the first turn on your left at the entrance and keep going. Eventually you'll run into a second Tier 3 chest. Coordinates of the second chest: [1185, 54, -2137] Thanks, TheZigbot9000!

T4 [Lvl 34] Dusty Cave [X 1004 Y 71 Z -1705]
Desert transition to Mesa. Travel into the Depths.

T4 [Lvl 33] Shadow Spear Hideout [X 1340 Y 30 Z -1551]
Mesa. Travel into the Depths.

T4 [Lvl 35] Dead Miner Alligator Cave [X 1307 Y 27 Z -1453]
Mesa. Travel into the Depths.

T3 [Lvl 38] Old Man Jankan’s Mine [X 1440 Y 31 Z -1367]
Mesa. Requires Canyon Condor Quest. Travel into the Depths.


Nesaak Tundra (Includes Lusuco):

T3 [Lvl 44] Ice Cave [X -136 Y 71 Z -797]
Travel to the bottom. You will need exactly 9 Large Rocks (dropped from the mobs) to access the Chest.

2 T3 [Lvl 41] Icy Shards Cave [X -114 Y 67 Z -925]
You will need a key (somewhat rare drop by the mobs) to open one of the two doors (which is random). Each door will lead to a mob that you must defeat to access one T3 chest. As such, there are actually two T3 chests in this cave.

T3 [Lvl 45] Wolf Den [X 184 Y 66 Z -704]
Follow the Path. Recommend taking out the mobs before opening the chest since they have the "Pull" spell.

T4 [Lvl 45] Raider Cave [X -247 Y 26 Z -300]
Right next to Lusuco. Explore to the end. Used to be the Gunpowder cave for Gunpowder Imps in the old “Frost Bitten” Quest.

T4 [Lvl 45] Frozen Bandits Cave [X -285 Y 24 Z -557]
Explore until the end. There is a small combat phase where you will need to kill a mob to access the chest.

T4 [Lvl 45] Hidden Ice Cave [X -139 Y 28 Z -314]
Lusuco. Stand on the Ice floor at [-120 30 -295] where you can see a small cave underneath. It will break, then travel to the end of the cave. Thanks, Olebra!

Troms Jungle (Includes Dernal Jungle):

T3 [Lvl 52] Thunder Grub Cave [X -609 Y 58 Z -727]
Go to the Depths of the Cave

T3 [Lvl 52] Magical Flux cave [X -567 Y 65 Z -607]
Go to the Depths of the Cave

T4 [Lvl 66] Ancient Iboju Undead Cave [X -674 Y 59 Z -924]
Right outside of Troms. Explore until the end.

T3 [Lvl 64] Jungle Temple [X -798 Y 41 Z -605]
Jump down the hole. Explore until the end.

T3 [Lvl 64] Mudshroom Cave [X -808 Y 19 Z -444]
Dernal Jungle. Go to the Depths of the Cave.

T3 [Lvl 65] Parrot Possessor [X -928 Y 28 Z -408]
Dernal Jungle. Travel into the Depths of the Cave. You will have to attack the suspicious soil, and then the way to the chest will open up.

T4 [Lvl 66] Ironwood Cave [X -623 Y 63 Z -286]
Dernal Jungle. Kill 4 Ironwood Guards to obtain Ironwood Hearts to access chest.

T3 [Lvl 68] Qunbos Boa Cave [X -676 Y 29 Z -307]
Dernal Jungle. Travel to the end of the cave. Thanks Its_me21!

T4 [Lvl 70] Cannibal Tribe Camp [X -956 Y 40 Z -525]
Dernal Jungle. Follow the path all the way. Just keep following it. The chest is at the top.

T3 [Lvl 74] Lava Cave [X -556 Y 29 Z -459]
Dernal Jungle. Explore until the end.

Llevigar Plains:
T3 [Lvl 41] Orc Cave [X -1767 Y 45 Z -4777]
Travel into the depths.

T3 [Lvl 43] Acromantula Cave [X -1788 Y 56 Z -4689]
Explore the cave. There really is only one T3 chest in this cave, which is at [X -1824 Y 81 Z -4534]

T3 [Lvl 44] Lake Cave [X -1827 Y 51 Z -4896]
Dive into the Lake. You might need to do the "Green Skinned Trouble" quest to access this cave.

T3 [Lvl 45] Karoc Quarry [X -1677 Y 45 Z -4444]
Go to the end of the Cave. Thanks Rixium!

Olux Swamp:
T4 [Lvl 51] Frog Cave [X -1835 Y 52 Z -5170]
Lily Pad Parkour! Who doesn't love that?

T3 [Lvl 56] Mountain Cave [X -2060 Y 56 Z -5240]
Go into the mountain cave (at the coordinates) until the end.


Light Forest:
T3 [Lvl 65] Devourer's Hideout [X -1389 Y 43 Z -4978]
Go to the end of the Cave. Thanks Altakar!


Dark Forest (Includes Kander Forest):
T4 [Lvl 65] Elementals Cave [X -1110 Y 46 Z -5294]
Just go to the end. There are two lower tiered chest in this cave as well (one requiring parkour). Thanks Altakar!

T3 [Lvl 65] Underground Fortress [X -1334 Y 43 Z -5077]
Go down. When you encounter two branches in the cave, turn left for the Tier 3. Turn right and swim up a waterfall, and you'll find a secret room with a Tier 2 Chest! Thanks Altakar!

T4 [Lvl 67] Dullahan's Castle [X -1101 Y 99 Z -5605]
You will require "The Headless Hunt" quest in order to enter this area. Go down. When you encounter two branches in the castle, turn right out of the garden for the Tier 4. If you go left and down to the garden, you'll find a spot with grind mobs instead. Thanks Altakar!

T3 [Lvl 68] Flesh Cave [X -1000 Y 43 Z -5555]
Enter the Cave and explore until the end. Beware of Flesh Anagram! Thanks Altakar!

T4 [Lvl 72] Mesquis Tower [X -783 Y 54 Z -5083]
Climb the tower. There's also a T1 and T2 chest to be found. Thanks Altakar!


Cinfras:
T4 [Lvl 71] Cinfras Shroom Cave [X -554 Y 43 Z -4698]
Kill 2 Shroom Sleepers at the end, then give Sleepers Spore to access the chest. Thanks Cosine_!

T4 [Lvl 73] Cinfras Bandit Cave [X -409 Y 35 Z -5204]
Travel inwards until the end.

T3 [Lvl 73] Cinfras County Lower Bandit cave [X -110 Y 36 Z -4622]
Chest is at the end of the Bandit Cave. Thanks, Vatonage!

T3 [Lvl 78] Cinfras Bandit Camp [X -14 Y 35 Z -5107]
Follow the path into the Camp until the end.


Canyon of the Lost:
T4 [Lvl 79] Spirits of Nature [X 138 Y 41 Z -5566]
Travel until the end of the Cave. There is a small parkour section in between.


Molten Heights:

T4 [Lvl 91] Inside the Dragon [X 1243 Y 58 Z -5343]
In order to enter, feed dragon “Dragon Food” that can be found at [X 1274 Y 26 Z -5374].

T4 [Lvl 92] Azer Hideout [X 1518 Y 46 Z -5174]
Contains some Lava Parkour. Explore until the end.

T3 [Lvl 95] Demon Cave [X 1405 Y 25 Z -5064]
Explore until the end. Powerful Mobs. Thanks tig!

T4 [Lvl 92] Byrnic Imp Hideout [X 1262 Y 75 Z -5401]
There's a way to parkour up, but you can also use spells to cheat it entirely. Kill the Byrnic Imp Priest for the Ritual Stone, then drop the Ritual Stone into the hopper to open the door.

T4 [Lvl 95] Cryvovern Cave [X 1526 Y 64 Z -5425]
Freezing Heights. Explore until the end.

T3 [Lvl 92] Baby Fire Drake Cave [X 1464 Y 44 Z -5574]
Start parkouring up the Ice Drake Ribs from [X 1373 Y 11 Z -5519] and follow the silver carpet, until you reach a 3 x 3 door with a pressure plate in front at the above coordinates. Thanks tig!

T3 [Lvl 94] Scorcher Cave [X 1603 Y 151 Z -5066]
Upper Molten Heights. Explore to the end. Used to be the location for T6 Earth Powder Relic.


Sky Islands (Includes Kandon-Beda):

T3 & T4 [Lvl 97] Angel of Agony / Youthful Angel Cave [X 1024 Y 107 Z -4698]
Explore the Cave. At the end of the cave, there will be a split left and right. Go right to kill the Angel of Agony (multiple phases), then drop the Angel Blasting Gel into the hopper under the gray carpet for the Tier 4 chest. Go left for the Tier 3 Chest. Thanks by2011, blagdorfinguy!

T4 [Lvl 98] Mycolite Cave [X 1015 Y 101 Z -4354]

1 T3 & 1 T4 [Lvl 63] Drowned Sarnfic Village [X -187 Y 16 Z -3452]
Enter Sarnfic at [X -187 Y 16 Z -3452]. You need the quest "Beneath the Depths" to enter this cave.
There are two chests to look for.
A T4 chest can be found at [X -73 Y 10 Z -3270]. It is in a cave with a lot of lava.
A T3 chest can be found at [X -21 Y 8 Z -3182]. It is found in a ruined castle.

As you can see, it is not really finished yet, there are still a lot of areas left untouched (Such as Corkus and Sky Islands).

So, if you have found a new T3 or T4 Loot Chest, and would like to submit it, use the following template to submit them. Credit will be given, and you may also name it if you want!

So hopefully, with everyone's combined list of chest, this list will become very full and complete! That is of course, until they switch up all the chests again.

The Ultimate Goal in the end is to have every T3 and T4 chests plotted on a Map visually, which would look pretty darn cool and will be pretty useful for plotting loot run routes. But that is a story for another day.

I wanted to open the same thread today lol. So far I was walking around Corkus and found this:
T3:
Level Range of Mobs: I think ~90
Area: Corkus Island (X: -1705, Y: -2512, Z: 27)
Instructions on how to get to the chest : Explore I guess

I am going to map all of the chests as waypoints for JourneyMap and then make a thread on how to import those waypoints, if there is interest.

 

sky islands: 1066, -4740 i believe (not 100% sure, wynn coords are weird)
level 95 ish

if you go on the north exit of ahmsord to the next-door temple island (with all the angels) and keep going straight, there's a pond that sort of flows into a cave. in that cave, there's an angel of agony, kill it (multiple phases) and drop the angel blasting gel into the hopper (there's a carpet over it) and the stone wall will break. t4 chest.

 

I'll get to CotL once I have an opportunity to play again (probably next week sometime). I know the general layout very well so it shouldn't take too long to find most of the chests.

 

2 more MH chests for you

T3 Demon Cave 1404 25 -5606

Same place as the one that began the Old MH lootrun (cave entrance move slightly east to coordinates above)

T3 Baby Fire Drake Cave 1452 44 -5575

This was also in the old LR, just parkour on the Ice drakes ribs to 3x3 door with a pressure plate infront of it. Enter and run to the end where the chest is on the dragon eggs.

 

There is also a T4 chest at the upper dernel jungle. It's a little bridge-type parkour up.

Xaero's Minimap waypoint file works differently than JourneyMap's, right? Either way, I documented a lot of chests before the update. I have to redo that now, but /if/ Xaero's waypoints are different I might add onto that if that's okay. Some people (like me) don't use JourneyMap so *shrugs*

Still hunting around Corkus and still finding new chests, so I'm waiting until I have done as much searching for 3s and 4s as I can

 

Quick update! Just added an additional 16 Loot chests (Mostly chests from Dernal Jungle, a bit of Corkus and Cinfras). That's 10 extra T3 chests and 6 extra T4 chests. I think we can get a loot run going in Jungle and maybe MH already.

Is it possible if you can provide a screenshot of the coordinates or the coordinates? Need to be a bit more specific since I don't know where it is.

 

I will look into that too, might even code a parser from JourneyMap waypoint to XaerosMinimap (and vice versa) because it was hell of a work to just add all Quest starter waypoints...

Just follow through the cave and up the path. There's a chest at the top.

EDIT: Changed X coordinate, cus it's not negative.

 

Not annoyed or anything but I realized you used a font, weird but cool font either way.

 

There is a T4 in the ocean cave you have to go to for the "beneath the depths" quest, I'll see if I can get coords tmr
