Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Crystal keeps one eye on the cat, and one eye looking at where he’s going.

 

"See you then."

 

"It's surprising to see you here. I didn't think you'd be able to find me at all, much less reach me." I say, smiling.

 

“Praecantatia traced you from residue left by you stabbing me a long time ago. The climb was rough, but I’ve been through worse. Far less deadly than the draconian Rites, at least... not that I did any of those.”

Anne nods, taking the note and running off.

Linoa turns slightly, noticing a shack.
“That looks promising.”

 

"Maybe I could try those at some point." I suggest, amused.

 

I'll wave her goodbye.

 

“You’re not eligible for the hatchling rites, and your lack of a truly tangible body may be an issue... but you might be able to do some of the weapon specific rites.” Ihra thinks.
“But, that’s not why I’m here. Lux is starting to get riled up again, Praecantatia can’t hold him on her own much longer. Artemis won’t go with me without you.”

She waves at you with her tail as she leaves.

 

"Well, it was inevitable he'd come back. I'll join you." I say calmly, turning and bowing to my meditating master.

 

“It would be a lot less inevitable if Xlentia erased him, and she’s got that ready if he comes back... and a lot more disastrous.” Ihra says, serious.

 

"Well, we best get going. If Lux gets erased, this universe goes with him." I say, just as serious.

 

"Arga, how's the thief doing?"

I'll walk around the shop, looking for her.

 

Ihra nods.
“I’ll reach out to Lady Gaia, then, though I’m going to head down for that.”

She’s in plain sight in the main room, stone chips and a hand on the floor.
“He’s fine.”

 

I just shrug, heading to the back of the temple.

 

I'll take a look at him, see what's missing so far.

 

Ihra follows you far enough to head down the path to the foot of the mountain, trying to reach out to Gaia once she arrives.

Some hair, his shirt looks like a rag, she’s removed one of his toenails, and of course he’s missing an entire hand.

 

I slide down the stream, not slipping once as I speed down.

Once at the base of the mountain, Ihra can't seem to reach Gaia.

 

Ihra tries to move further from the mountain, unsure of how far its warped magic reaches.

 

It doesn't appear to be the magic of the mountain, Ihra can't seem to reach Gaia at all.

 

Concerned, Ihra tries reaching out to Praecantatia.

 

Praecantatia can't seem to be reached either, nor can Stephanie by extension.
