SPOILER My Reaction At The End Of The Dwarves And Doguns Questline

yes

part 1 was okay, it was a decent expository quest
it wasnt too bad but it was too much "tell dont show" (seriously you had the opportunity to make a cool cutscene but all we had was a boring PROPHECY BOOK #25645454) and there was too much useless gameplay; some stuff was there purely for gameplay and didnt make any sense like the 4 minibosses and the library thing, or the drill minigame
also some plot holes (why is their position compromised as soon as 3 random dwarves get in? cant the doguns just fill the hole with lava or some shit?)

part 2 is where it all starts going downhill
1. dogun chief trusts axelus just because why not
2. player is able to defeat the entire rodoroc army with axelus, no one cares (and again i just spent 5 minutes for nothing woohoo how fun)
3. "the guards will be by any second now", but im able to destroy the door with lava and destroy every war machine they have without anyone noticing
4. axelus can destroy the power core of an entire city (which is out in the open btw) which is either 1. corkus machines 2. ancient lava power because thats the power of defense objectives right??also destroying it has almost no effect on anything whatsoever other than oh no less lava
5. WHY IS THERE A SINGLE FUCKING CANNON IN THE MIDDLE OF RODOROC RIGHT NEXT TO THE POWER CORE
6. how did axelus see the slums through the wall
7. giant toilets
8. forbidden prison part 2 amazing i love this quest
9. the king has a big ass hallway in front of his throne to the toilets, ok then
10. axelus is the prince of rodoroc how original
11. the king has no reason to hide the truth outside of being a bootleg handsome jack

part 3
1. the only thing dogun dude tells you about gahareth is "hes demon god bad"
2. go to the portal do nothing and go to maex great quest stage
3. gahareth is about to destroy the world go fetch me a ton of items from all around the world
fetch quest with cutscenes really what a great quest i love it haha yes
(not developing this too much cause this is taking too long and i shouldnt spend my time on this, you probably get my point)

part 4.
the gahareth boss fight is so fucking shit and disappointing holy fuck its so lazy and bad its honestly the most disappointing and one of the worst boss battles in the game. fuck you gahareth

 

You really didn't like the questline lol
It seemed like a lot of other people liked it though so that's just your opinion.

 

How is the Gara boss lazy? It’s a big dungeon styled battle with different tasks, I’m sorry if you wanted a meat shield, cause I don’t like em.

Is there even anything you like with this update, seems like everything is shit and garbage?

I accept your opinion but it’s actually possible to criticize without being a massive asshole. Thought I’d let you know :)

No need to appolgize, im just saying that it's possible to give feedback without offending everyone involved in the making of it just to get your point across.

 

I agree with this, tbh. Everything else about the quests were top notch by Wynncraft standards, especially the actual war, but the boss felt less like “slaying a demon god” and more like “walking through a hallway and pressing buttons.” Sure, it’s a great looking hallway, but it still feels like a hallway. It could’ve been a great opportunity to show the full extent of the new armor stand models, while adding in the mechanic of “use icy staff to freeze thing” into the fight itself to help break it up, and maybe actually utilizing the fire necklace as a shield against a major attack every once in a while. As it stands, it’s just not that difficult or interesting, and it feels less like a climax than an intermediary section.
