Getting Over It is... a beast

Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy is a Platform(?)/Rage game based off a SHITTY AS FUCK game that came out over 10 years ago called 'Sexy Hiking'. The game looked shit, played shit, everything is shit, but without it, Getting Over It would have never came out. (if that's a good thing or a bad thing is up to you)

The game has had many lets players give their hand (or in this case their hammer) at trying to beat it, and most of the reactions are the same...

Bennett Foddy Put that quote in there for a reason, because it isn't true.

The game is meant to teach the player that everything is possible and you fall its your fall so you just need to suck up that goddamn anger and Get Over It.
but seeing as this is coming for ME, (someone who hasn't even PLAYED Getting Over It) my points are most likely invalid.

So, if you have played it, what are your thoughts on it?

One of, if not THE most pretentious game out there. Period. Even Markiplier wasn't even joking at how extremely shitty this game is.

While you're most likely correct, once I get used to the game, I'll probably have much more enjoyable time
Except Orange Hell, because fuck Orange Hell.

Mark... uh...
I like Mark, but that's it, I like him.
The worst thing he's done recently is make CLOAK w/Jack, which is one of the worst youtuber clothing brand I have ever seen.
not the subject, but that's what I wanted to say about Mark.

I personally don't find the game that pretentious, it has something to say and it does it alright.
I also personally find that the game isn't as "shitty" as everyone says it is.
The graphics are pretty alright.
The controls takes some getting used to, but are understandable.
If you just take your time and play it safe, you'll be fine! those words are gonna come back to bite me in the ass when I play the game myself

And at least it isn't as bad as Golfing Over It with Alva Majo
Golfing Over It is a SHAMELESS copy of Getting Over It, EVERYTHING ABOUT IT IS WORSE THAN GETTING OVER IT
In Getting Over It, your caldron is big and heavy enough to make sure that your don't fall SUPER far down while in GOLFING OVER IT, YOU'RE SO DAMN SMALL AND BOUNCY YOU FALL ALL THE WAY DOWN IF YOU MAKE ONE MISTAKE
In Getting Over It, the level design is make in a certain way that you don't fall as far (unless you're freaking out like an idiot) while in GOLFING OVER IT, THE LEVEL DESIGN MAKES EVERYTHING WORSE
Just watch Mark's video on it, sums up why Golfing Over It SUCKS ALL THE GOLF BALLS.

But hey, to each their own.

Youch, thanks for the luck, also I might have some ideas of how you could get over it

1. Stay to the right side of the table and level yourself up quickly to the rock above (I think is pretty safe n easy, at least I would hope)
2. Go the left side of the table and hang on to the cliff and swing yourself from there (much more risky but it could help)

and for the rock part...
Go as slow as possible and make it the final rock before the jump, go AS SLOW AS POSSABLE in making it to the safe spot so you can swing yourself up.
