I relate to this on a spiritual level, especially after my college compilers course...

 

guilds are fun content to most people jesus christ

 

It’s impossible to make something that everyone will be happy with. Most people, myself included, would agree that something to make guilds more fun would definitely be an improvement and a great update.
What do you mean by a ‘fun content update’ anyway?

Guilds are being worked on separately from Road to Dern. If I’m not wrong, jpresent is the one coding guilds while the rest of the workforce concentrates on RtD.

 

so only one guy is on it and the rest are on road to dern? if so good actual content updates are more important than a rework of guilds lol

Its not about the community though, its solely about them...

 

Ok time to clear this up
Guild update has been in the works for a while, and has actually been 90% complete for a while, even before eco.
So it makes much more sense for JP to finish the 10% he needs to rather than drop everything and work on RTD.

However, it’s important to remember that right now the team isn’t really working on anything right now. We recently finished the bulk of eco, and believe it or not, but the majority of the CT are humans (cough cough snerp), and we need breaks, even if you think you’re entitled to us (a team of unpaid volunteers who have lives too) to endlessly generate content for you and the community. We love making stuff for you guys, but shouting at us and telling us to work on stuff just because you want it is not going to help. So just please remember that all the stuff we said is coming is coming, but we are not just machines (yup, even JP).
Other than that, the community have been requesting guild updates for a long time, and we finally have the work power to fulfill that demand. We know you Gus are sad about RTD, but eco is almost here, and we hope you’ll enjoy that enough that you won’t even notice the couple of decades it’ll take us to finish RTD :D
Jokes aside, just please have some patience.
