Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I can try to help you with that, if you wish." Praecantatia offers, stepping out in the the corridor.

 

“No, I’ve heard you have your hands full with Lux. I was hoping to find Aj to get him and Artemis together again. They’re not so sure, but I personally think it’d be best we try to do something before Lux gets back to full strength.” Ihra says, hesitating as she starts speaking against Lux.

 

Praecantatia sighs, seemingly losing face.

"I should've expected you to already know," Praecantatia says, "If you can get them, that would be great. Lux has been extremely angry since he begun to reform. It's been stunting his power growth, but if we act quickly, you'll be able to stop him before he stops you at light speed. We wouldn't want him ruining our relations with your reality, or worse, getting himself killed."

There's a low rumble from the room Praecantatia stepped out from, which she glances into somewhat worriedly.

 

“I was hoping you knew where Aj was. Tenebrae’s too far from the Realm of Shadows for me to reach out to, and neither his palace guard nor Artemis know where he is.”

 

"I'm sorry, but I do not know either. If you have something of his, I could try to locate him; or I could get in touch with Cel-" Praecantatia catches herself, pausing for a moment, "Caelia, as she may be able to locate him easier."

 

“You, uh... do realize that I’ve figured out at least some of the nicknames you have for the other gods here, right? Anyhow... how would I do that?”

 

Praecantatia turns a little red, before calming herself.

"If you own anything with a strong link or relation to Aj, I'd be able to find out where he is. Else, I can try to get in contact with Ce- uh, Caelia to have her try to find him." Praecantatia says.

The rumbling from the other room gets a little more intense, before Praecantatia draws a few runes in the air that seem to calm it down.

 

"Would remnant energy from Shadow Katana work?" Ihra asks, starting to seem concerned.

 

Praecantatia thinks for a while.

"Yes, I believe that should work." Praecantatia says, nodding.

 

She summons a small crystal of odd energy.
"I don't know why I kept it after he stabbed me, but I did." She shrugs.

 

Praecantatia looks a little concerned, but takes the crystal nonetheless. She turns and heads into the room at the end of the corridor, the room seeming to be made entirely out of mage crystal inside.

 

Ihra follows partway, but then stops to keep some eyes on the room Praecantatia came out of.

 

The door is partly closed, but inside, Ihra can see Shadow Stephanie laying on a table with multiple tubes stuck to her. She seems to be gripping the table with a claw, and a hellish, demonic aura radiates from the room.

 

Ihra sighs, heading towards Praecantatia.

 

Praecantatia sits down in the crystal-filled room and meditates; clasping the crystal in her hands. She seems to focus, closed eyes darting around underneath their lids. A barrier appears to prevent entry into the room with her; most likely due to the amount of usable power in the room.

 

Ihra waits, glancing occasionally back at the room Shadow Stephanie is in.

 

One moment, Shadow Stephanie seems to be at the door, eyes flaring red as a claw reaches out to grab Ihra by the neck. The next, she's back lying on the table, immobile. Ihra catches a glimpse of the girl from the living room peeking down the corridor at her, before she disappears back into the living room hurriedly.

 

Realizing I’ve yet to explore the rest of the house, I walk off to see what kind of rooms there are.

 

Ihra just blinks, seeming more concerned than startled.

After a walk around the house, you count five bedrooms and bathrooms, two laundry rooms (on either side of the mansion), several sitting rooms and a tv room, and in the basement there's a billiards table and a pinball machine.

 

I check if there are any extra clothes in the house to tie in with the laundry rooms.
