Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Ihra waves, turning around and trying to reach out to Praecantatia.

 

As she does so, a portal opens in front of her, a large robotic golem stepping through. It's feet chime, and parts of it's face flash red as it seems to scan Ihra; chiming notes as it does so. A moment later, it extends it's hand to Ihra; arm bending rather unnaturally with multiple joints rather than one.

 

Ihra takes its hand.
“Thank you Lady Gaia, I’ll repay you somehow... eventually... I hope.” She thinks.

 

The golem leads Ihra through the portal, onto one of Praecantatia's floating islands. It leads Ihra towards a familiar large tree, each step chiming.

 

Ihra follows it, mostly remembering the process of entry.

 

The golem leads her into the tree through a different entrance, seeming to go down a large elevator filled with many other golems. However, partway down, the elevator stops; a door opening just big enough for Ihra to fit through, with a projection of Fia smiling on the other side.

 

Ihra heads through the door, somewhat confused.
“How many ways in and out are there?” She asks herself, albeit barely audible should Fia choose to answer.

 

"Everywhere is connected!" Fia says happily, "Praecantatia has been looking forward to seeing you."

 

“Is Stephanie recovering well?” Ihra asks, looking for where to go next. “And where did Lady Praecantatia want me to go?”

 

"Just follow me. Stephanie has been recovering very well!" Fia says happily, heading down the hallway.

 

Ihra follows her.
“That’s good. Is she awake? I haven’t talked to her in a while, unless I’m forgetting a bit.”

 

"I think she just went to bed to rest." Fia says cheerily, before turning a corner and disappearing.

Around the corner appears to be a screen and a large ball, Fia appearing on the screen.

"All you need to do is get into the ball, and you'll be sent off to see Praecantatia!" Fia explains, the screen showing her getting into a similar ball before being shot out of a cannon in it.

 

"Ah yes, let's see if I learned my lesson from lest time." Ihra says as she mimics what Fia did on screen, but turns her body to a sort of liquid light as soon as the ball seals itself.

 

Ihra is rocketed through winding pipes, before ending up deposited out near to what seems to be a front door; on a small table. A small idol waits with cup in hand to allow Ihra to become a more appropriate size.

 

She reforms once the ball stops, leaving and checks to see if the cup the idol holds is full or not.

 

It isn't full, but rather completely empty; waiting for Ihra to activate it.

 

Ihra looks around for a button, switch, or anything that might suggest how she activates the idol, having forgotten.

 

I fill up the bowl, then precariously place it back down and turn the sink off.

 

There are no buttons or switches, but the arms of the idol look a little bit worn, as if touched frequently.

 

Ihra touches one of the arms, pushing them up or down gently if they move.

You wind up needing to work around Buddy's head getting in the way, but once it's on the ground he drinks as if he was as exhausted as he was at the fountain.
