My Final Goodbye

So I guess this is my last post, huh?

You guys are probably wondering why I left and way the I did it. Well, it's because of college, life in general, and a few other personal reasons. I already have to pick my major in a month or two and get an internship alongside with school. And I find myself with less and less free time nowadays. So I thought I'd quit right before the new year and be used to not being here by the time school started. I figured no one would really notice since people leave all the time, and I didn't know what to really say so I didn't make a goodbye post.

And I was delightfully proven wrong. I'm surprised how much of an impact I had on others here, even though I mostly make bad jokes and the occasional news thread. I want to say thank-you especially to these people:

@ActualAnthonino for making that thread and always being a nice person to talk to in Nemract's Bar.

@InfernoWraith and @Oculism and @TikTok for being nice to talk to and talking about their feedback. I especially liked TikTok's feedback on dungeon items.

@Nepeta Leijon for always being considerate of others and giving constructive feedback, especially in the Beta Feedback.

@WynnChairman for recommending me anime and having nice chats. I'm still traumatized by Berserk, though I'm glad I still tried it out anyway.

@FanceDance for always giving me compliments and also always being a nice person to talk to. I hope you and others keep Nemract's Bar full. I especially liked your new thread about those video essays.

@Wynn: The Anime for good memes, Wynn Mafia, and having great discussions like in the Judge Kavanaugh thread. What I liked most about you is that you always tried to see both sides of the arguments and really understand the topic.

@Bluescreen for hosting great Wynn Mafia games and having interesting perspectives.

@SPYROHAWK for his interesting lore threads. Even if I sometimes didn't agree with your theories, I always liked your threads and the amount of effort you put into them.

@Moss and @ThomAnn100 for both their memes, humor, and of course, the Shinobo thread and introducing me to Sinterklaas respectively. I shall defend that thread and Sintkerlaas til the day I die.

@NPCGrian for all the likes you've given me and being a nice guy. Like seriously, some days I'd log on and I'd get 14 notifications just from you. I never ask for them, and likes in general don't matter and shouldn't be bragged about. Though I think I should bring it up because you were the only one that did it to that extent and I never got the chance to tell you how much I appreciated it.

@MarioYoshiBoo for his Daily Dose of Science threads and his jokes.

@Bramblesthatcat for being nice to talk to and introducing me to Battle Cats. I still say it's too weird for me, though I did genuinely enjoy it.

@Mac N Cheese Man for being a bit weird, yet funny to joke around with. I have no idea where you came up with your Mac N Cheese persona, but I love it so keep it up.

@IceBear for being funny and always having something interesting to say. I enjoyed playing with you in Wynn Mafia as well, and I hope the next balance patch doesn't nerf your build too badly.

@A Human and @Stormarend I gotcha.

No I'm just kidding, you two have always been pretty nice and I always liked chatting with you. I think I've also played 1 or more mafia games with both you of too.

@YYGAYMER for being an absolute mad lad and getting the Legendary Medallion not just once, twice, but three times and did the first run with no damage!! And I haven't done LI once! I also liked your posts in the Class Builds sections, and I can't forget about all your meme item threads either.

@captainganon for always being funny and witty and defending against the constant scourge of housing/bad suggestions. Although we never really talked, it was nice to always see you around.

@PewDiePie for your jokes and hanging around in Nemract's Bar. You and Moss need to fill every section with memes now or else. ;)

@NicBOMB for having great discussions in the Class Builds thread and sticking up for me.

@Selvut283 for being witty, his memes, and finally balancing mythics. I don't know how you managed to balance and create most of the items before the item team, and you always respectfully and thoughtfully responded to thoughts and criticisms. I'll especially miss your bunny profile pics, and I hope your Soldier class is finally added some day. It was always my favorite suggestion except for the Shinobo suggestion. Jk ;)

@Ascended Kitten for being one of the nicest people on this forum. You've done great work for this game and especially this community, and I loved seeing you around helping others.

@Pepo and @JuicedBananas for being an all round great moderators.

@Imaxelius for his fantastic work, especially on the latest update. You really went the extra mile and gave an update the community deserved. Plus you've always been nice to everyone and you're a great CT manager. This community wouldn't be the same without you.

@Cruuk for always giving thoughtful feedback and making those new mini quests. You've always been one of my favorites on this forum, and I hope you stick with the CT and the forums!

@Aarontti for some of the best memes on the forums. I especially loved the bread one and Wurst one. I'll always know you for your well drawn profile posts. I know we argued in the past, though I apologize for that and if I ever personally offended you.

@Yuno F Gasai for creating interesting threads and offering different perspectives, especially pertaining to Israel and Palestine. I never saw a bad word come from you and I'm glad I got the chance to talk to you. I especially liked your diaries.

@Sam Hyde for your user names and always being a great friend to me. I had a lot of good times with you here, and I'm sorry I didn't get the chance to finish your role playing game. Please keep making memes in VIP Plaza for me.

@T-Flex for always giving thoughtful criticism and interesting feedback. You're one of the oldest people I've known here, and I always liked what you had to say.

And finally, @Putrid for being an all round great guy and being the first person I really got to know on here. It's kinda hard to believe that it's been almost 4 years since we met by accident. I know it's been a while, but I hope you're doing well in life.

You all have left great impressions on me and given me so much to laugh and discuss about. Even though this is just another Minecraft forum, it's our forum and I never felt an attachment to it like anything else. So thanks so much to everyone again, though my time is over and I wish you all the best of luck in the future!

I'm sad to go to. Though I don't think I can compare to the legend that was Pretz. You can pick up my housing graph or any of my threads if you like. And I have full faith that you and others will do just as fine job, if not better.

 

Dr Zed, you were one of my favorite people on here. I loved your news threads, they helped me keep up with what CNN10 doesn’t talk about, lol. I know we never really talked personally, but that’s how I am with quite a few people on here; I guess you can say I admire them from afar, but obviously not in a romantic way, xD. I won’t forget you, your content, and every time you pressed the like button for me. Thanks for everything, and best of luck with your future endeavors.

It’s hard to see you go, someone who I honestly thought (and still think) is one of the best people in the community, by far. I can never remember you angrily lashing out at someone, which is extremely rare, out of anyone I know - in real life or on the internet.

I remember we've had a few little conversations around here and you seem to be a really intelligent and funny guy.
When everyone else would be fooling around or making "half assed" (for lack of a better term) posts, you would always put in a thoughtful remark, and I admire that.
