short of changing all of its spells to other, reasonably useful and not equivalent to a trash can in ability spells, nope

with the exception of charge, charge is cool

 

Melee archer is objectively worse for wars than spell warrior, why aren't you complaining about that? If its just wars there are plenty of unviable builds.

 

How many people do you see trying to make melee archer work, compared to spell warrior?

 

So what your saying is that this "Problem" is only a problem if people try to overcome it and if nobody tries to overcome it theres no point? Not sure what you're actually arguing here.

 

Correct me if I’m wrong here, but archer’s melee hits one target at a time, so by the works of the game, it’s ineffective. But spell warrior actually works. It’s slow, but not reaching ineffectiveness like melee archer. It’s possible, but as Goden said, vastly outclassed in terms of speed.

In addition to all that, I have a lot of experience attempting to optimize spell warrior, as do many guildmates and friends.

Maybe there’ll be another post someday about melee archer, but that’s simply not the focus of this post.

Melee Archer is pretty much out of the question. Nobody uses it because it’s objectively bad. Full Melee Archer sacrificed range for the inability to hit multiple targets at once with a basic attack. But Spell Warrior didn’t sacrifice anything but range for defense and direct damage, and is still usable but also still the least optimizable.

Selvut said “maybe there’s a reason that its spells aren’t the best,” yet it can literally get outclassed by a support.

 

Not entirely true. Stinger is melee and can solo quite a lot of defenses (much to my surprise honestly). Carry one powdered with quake for extremely strong tank shredding (more for minibosses) and a second with chain lightning more for cleaning fillers and keeping your hp topped off (chain imo is better for slower heals while you're getting hit, since it's not one burst of healing, it's more like a potion in the way it heals. Quake is better just for one giant burst).

Sadly it can't solo a max def without a metric ton of pots so I will agree it's worse than spell warrior.

Oh, and that's ignoring the fact that stinger is like the lone viable melee archer build for wars, whereas there's quite a few.. "viable" spell warrior ones.

 

Your thread title made the claim that it is the least optimizable build type, so a statement like "out of the question", contradicts your initial claim in the title.
As far as spell warrior goes, I find it is usually pretty decent for playing the game. Warrior isn't my favority class or anything, but I've logged a good number of hours on it and spell warrior is far from the worst build type I've tried. I actually prefer it to melee builds because mashing left click just isn't very fun. If it's not the best forguild wars, that's fine, because it doesn't have to be the best at everything. It can beat li without any form of potions or anything quite reliably, so it's bible enough for everything else that I wouldn't call it a problem.

spell warrior is far worse than many quake or even chain melee archer builds, my quake stinger can actually solo max defenses unlike any spell warrior build ive tested

tested and proven can solo any defense with no sp pots, hp pots, and no need to camp, ask 21n :/

while not my main archer build atm cause freedom is better, this is basically the build @InnerJoker used during his prime in Nih and Oys

 

Ok I kind agree that melee archer isn't gay bad but it's more of an example amthan a real case

I agree but he's like top 3 (for now uwu) and most people not deep into wars just see that he's top 3 and are like "wow he's such good war man!!1!" so I figured I'd add it to save questions later

yo btw somehow figured out how to solo a 23k with Apoc without timing out it's incredible

so if you like move around and actually focus on killing the ranged mobs instead of just standing still you can do it in like 19 and a half minutes very worthwhile totally good alternative to any other infused hive weapon except spear

 

the correct thing to do is /class and click archer or assassin
