The Least Optimizable Build In Wynn And Why Reworks Are Needed

guys i'm back to report that warrior sucks for guild wars, i RLL and boom i'm watching a powerpoint presentation (actually only happens in 23k and doesn't make that much of a difference for me personally but shhh)

Reason2 (just me): Too much connection lag makes any class besides insanely tnaky warrior completely unplayable in guild war

not all of us have a high level archer, and its playstyle is vastly different in terms of defense. In fact, archer does a better job at being a taunt tank just give it natural defense and call it warrior

I think we're getting away from the main point here of Warrior being inferior to other classes in guild wars.

Thank you for the correction, and in general, spell warrior is less viable, to the point of wars taking longer than 15-20 minutes, or the inability to deal enough damage for a number of reasons.

although i do agree spell warrior is weak compared to other classes in wars :P

 

the point i mean to make is Selvut defends spell warrior yet doesn't war, and neither does a fair amount of the item team

it reached 20 minutes on my clock /shrug
if you die, you die. a number of causes could be attributed to that, and i'm willing to let the -35 intelligence to the talking for me

Spell warrior in wars works. It's okay. The problem with it isn't that it's knockback hits mobs too far (ignoring that most territories have corners you can hit mobs into to ignore that entirely) so you can't follow up to deal effective damage, it's that that knockback means you have to hold your W key down and catch up to the mob to deal more damage. If you can show me a video of a guy using spell warrior (go ahead and use whatever weapon you want, including mythics) with this guy soloing a max def and finishing the war in under 10 minutes and not being in a cave or up in a tight space to abuse walls, go ahead, I'll agree that spell warrior is fine.

But you literally can't.

From personal experience (I've used over half the mythics in the game for guild wars, the majority of which I've also done +100 wars with), the only viable and even half timely war weapon for warrior is (surprise) Apocalypse. Which even still is slower than average.

Let's look at the other classes.

Archer: Easily can do max defs in under 10 minutes if you're competent and know how to spam spells properly. Best I've done is a max def with 4 hp pots and 2 mana pots using Freedom in about 9 minutes 30 seconds (roughly, was a month or so back) on Mine Base Plains, which is for the most part a flat field.

Mage: Honestly, mage sucks for wars for the most part. It's damage output just generally isn't enough to go fast, excluding Fatal because, yknow, Fatal. Never done a 23k with mage but using infused hive wand w/ thunder powders back during the rainbowslap meta (msd/libra/vaward/meemento or capri) it took me around 5 minutes to solo a 80 miniboss def on Lava Lake (for comparison I can literally do that faster with gales force lmfao)

Assassin: okay there's a reason most of the war gods on the server are assassin mains for wars (Tntdestroyd, gamer_mhc, Lego_DW, me now I guess, etc) and it's because assassin is insane in wars. My personal best 23k was again on Mine Base Plains with weathered in 9 minutes 15 (again, roughly, this one was about 1.5 months ago) but only with 3 hp pots and a 4th in my inventory I never used. No, sp pots weren't used here. Spin Attack is such a crazy good spell in wars that it makes assassin easily top tier for soloing due to you being able to simply shut down any mob near you. Combine that with agility and you become near invulnerable with high walkspeed and decently paced spin/smoke spam.

Warrior: I've done like 2 23ks on warrior fully solo without /hubbing out of boredom, and those were both with Apoc. I used pots and it still took me about 20 minutes to do on Lava Lake, with my heart hardcore pounding bc I thought I was gonna time out with like 3 mobs left. Pots included sp pots, but no health pots I guess is a bonus. I tried it as well with tcrack but my build was shit so I died and then sold it a day later lmao

After that giant rant though, youre probably wondering "oh okay well I mean if warrior /can/ do the wars why does it matter?" If you're asking this question, you don't do enough wars and I don't consider you qualified to even speak on this topic but I'll answer it anyway. In wars, time is the single most important thing overall. Speed is the most valuable thing in combat, and keeping war times low is extremely important, otherwise you'll just lose all of your territories and be basically standing by watching it happen. Every second is extremely important and can make the difference between winning or losing a larger battle.

Time is everything in wars tldr and warrior lacks the speed needed to stay on par with other classes

 

Quite the statement. There is clearly an inbalance. Have you thought about any potential solutions to said inbalance?

 

no because I dislike the entire way warrior is meant to be played since it's essentially a support class and not meant to solo wars

if you want it to solo wars rework the class if not don't use warrior because it's a piece of garbage
