    Maybe xD Go with what you feel though, I think that works best.

    Overall looking pretty good, and I hope it would be pretty balanced overall. Only question about Seek Truth: Does it scan every enemy or would it be single target?

    I would say blinding would harshly decrease the accuracy of the enemy's attacks for 1 - 3 turns, making them hit less reliably with their attacks, but there is still a chance for them to hit. Something like a 50% Miss Chance for every damage roll (1/2 chance for their attack to do 0 damage).

    To show that I understand, I will just rewrite the stats over here, and also added some light element damage to some of the Magical Attacks as well.

    Chance to Blind: 33%
    Passive Energy won't regen next turn (Exhaustion).
    AoE Straight

    Quite excited to try out this combat system, I think it would be cool (Less randomness compared to DnD hit or miss system).

    I'm cool with that.

    I'm not sure yet.

    I was thinking of making it all the enemies you're facing during the battle but then that gives you no further reason to use Seek Truth again.

    However, I was also thinking that maybe the things you find out update every so often as the battle progresses and the opponents get more exhausted making it easier to pry into secrets.

    So I'm still not sure on whether it should be single target or all of them.

    Also, at the start of each battle, everyone sees the main stats of the opponent such as their:

    Health: [ - / - ]
    Base Atk: (Opponents have Base Attack to make sure they always deal damage unless said situation like Blinding occurs)
    Base Defense: (Subtracts damage from each attack they receive)

    These are the three stats that will show up but I'm making it so that Seek Truth can expose other things like their Passives, their Favorite Moves, what three moves they plan on doing next, etc.

    I'm still working on that concept.

    This is an NPC I'm scrapping that was supposed to join the crew for like one segment but I decided against it.
    I'd say this is a relatively average character with a couple gimmicks making him not completely average with basic attacks. It's just an example of what range PCs should be around.

    I'm fine with like really OP tanks tho at like 2000 health and heavy defense because there will always be a way to make major drawbacks.

    I meant strategizing in game.
    Like:
    You attack Person X with Skill C and I'll follow it up by attacking Person Y with Skill B. This will get them close enough for person D to use skill A to hit them both.​
    No time passes in game, while we toss random ideas back and forth.
    Or does it have to be:
    I use skill B on Person Y and yell out, "Attack Person X with Skill C!"​

    Magic Archetype: Inertia Manipulation and Reinforcement Magic (Juggernaut/Sentinel)
    Description of Character: A tall, broad-shouldered man with neck-long grizzled, dark brown hair and beard, standing at 2,4 meters. He’s outwards lighthearted and cheerful but self-judgemental and demanding towards himself. He blames himself often and considers himself responsible for most. When in battle he wears a set of lightweight steel armor, making him relatively maneuverable, although very tense and heavy body wise. He wears no helm and thus makes sure to always cover his head with his shield.
    Items / Weapons: He wields a giant oval shield which covers his entire body. It is coated in inertia magic, making it unmovable unless the wielder desires it to move. In his other hand, he carries a platinum halberd, also infused with inertia magic. Both weapons can be retracted and hid away.
    Use three words to describe how they act: Conscientious - Contemplative - Cheerful

    Move Set:

    Attacks:
    1) Standard Attack: Cleave
    Deals piercing damage to a singular target, with a very small chance of dissecting a limb.
    2) Special Attack: Inertia Manipulation - Unrelenting Onslaught
    Deals major damage and knockback to all enemies in a straight line by charging with the shield. Enemies hit by the shield have a chance to be confused and/or stunned. The user takes minor damage if any of the charge targets are abnormally large. The user Slices nearby enemies with the halberd while charging, dealing normal damage. The user then rests, hidden behind his shield the next turn, regenerating more energy than usual whilst covered by the same protective barrier made by the Reinforce spell.

    Magic:
    1) Reinforce
    Shields two party members with a protective barrier for 2 or 3 turns. The barrier mainly shields from magical attacks, but also mildly from physical. He may use it on himself.
    2) Inertia Manipulation - Stunning Stance
    Shouts a battle cry, directing all attacks towards himself for 2 or 3 turns. AoE attacks deal increased damage to the user and decreased damage to the other targeted party members. All damage received by the user this turn is minorly reduced. One enemy is rendered immobile for 1-3 turns, the weaker the longer. Exceptionally strong/large enemies either aren’t stunned or require an extra amount of energy to stun.

    Passive Stuff:
    • Major defenses against physical attacks and semi-physical attacks (elements that interact physically, such as solid ice, fire or earth)
    • Major weakness to magic that ignores physical defense.
    • Is immune to physical knockback and piercing.
    • May shield another member of the party after attacking, using a minor amount of energy. Takes all damage directed to both himself and the other party member, unless any of those attacks are magically piercing.
    Backstory:
    • Was adopted by a family in Greenland and raised there, but his actual ethnical origin is unknown to him.
    • He inherited the shield from his original parents, it was given to his adoptive parents when they adopted him. He constructed the Halberd himself by analyzing the shield. Thus the halberd retracts to a much smaller form and does so much more fluidly when compared to the shield.
    • He has done several extraordinary feats, such as crossing the Arctic on foot by himself, wearing nothing but a pullover for warmth.
    • Currently works as a personal trainer in Manhattan, and trains various athletes, boxers, wrestlers and soldiers.

    Heal: Heal 10% of missing health.

    Energy: Allow someone to restore 10% energy.

    Energy Cost: -40%

    Full Counter: Upon cast, himself or anything he touches affects it with a magic reflecting charm. This reflects and protects the next magic spell cast or attack upon the object completely. The spell's duration is until the next magic spell is cast upon it or attack is thrown, if it is dispelled, or 5 minutes.

    Energy Cost: -70% You don't gain any passive energy next turn.

    For Full Counter, it just reflects the spell back to the opponent and deals damage accordingly.

    Ok we have two 17 yr olds and a grandaddy now lel.

    Ok uh, I'm not sure about dissecting a limb... I might just make that chance impossible to major NPCs but possible to smaller NPCs.

    The halberd deals normal damage... as in like the damage from Cleave?

    Do you want Confusion to just do the same as @PikaLegend's Stun which skips the enemy's turn?

    Does the protective barrier here only last for one turn while having the same effects as Reinforce?

    So can he use it on himself and somebody else?

    Do you want it to shield completely from magical attacks (more drawbacks) or just reduce magic attacks significantly.

    So is it a random opponent who is always stunned or the weakest opponent always stunned?

    Question. Is it possible for one spell to have diffrent effects like shaping it into swords, shields and applying it to items or storing it for later use, all under the name of Manipulate electricity?

    The Halberd deals normal damage and the barrier only last for one turn (the turn after the turn the move is executed, the turn he's stunned from exhaustion).

    I think the confusion should work somewhat as it does in Pokemon, as in there's a large chance, say 1/2, that the affected hits either himself or one of their allies instead of its target.

    Just reduce it significantly. He could use it on himself and somebody else. I think he should be able to either protect one or two people, meaning the shield is a lot weaker if used on 2 people.

    I'd say that it can be targeted. If I'd propose some different numbers, then a small/weak opponent would get stunned 3 turns, a normal average healthy bandit Joe 2 turns, a strong arcane wizard 1 turn, a 5 meter stone golem 1 turn but it'd take a lot of extra energy and maybe not affect something majorly larger/stronger than that, meaning it uses less energy and only executes the war scream.
