Sandy Scandal Trouble

Hello! So I am currently at the boss room stage of the Sandy Scandak quest, and have been for a good amount of time. My problem is that I can never get passed the second pressure plate. Most of the time I’m able to work passed the first, but then I get stuck on the second. By the time I get there and the diffusing timer starts, I either get pushed off the plate or die. Does anyone have a suggestion on how I should go about it next time? Should I kill off the mobs first? Should I level up and get better armor before I try again (currently lvl. 36 w/ 1,056 health)? Any tips would be appreciated! Thanks!

 

Use vanish every time you go for the pressure plates, as it tremendously helps in diffusing it and avoiding the enemies in the room anyways. If the leader gets to close, use either vanish, multi-hit to attempt to knock him away, or spin attack to blind him. The minions shouldn't be that much of a problem, but you can basically use anything as assassin to deal with them effectively.

Bring a decent amount of hp pots, as you will need them in case things go south. Playing in f5 mode also helps so you can see around the room more effectively for where the tnt might be starting to spawn in. If you see the boss use a spell, be careful, as he will usually (I think he might only have charge though) charge at you and it will do quite a bit of damage if he hits you. A good strategy as assassin is to blind him with spin attack or go into vanish when you see him use a spell, since if it's charge it has the chance to make him go in a different direction than where you are if timed correctly (it will not change his direction mid charge ofc).

If you still can't do it, I recommend either leveling up and getting better gear (like you asked) or getting a higher level player to help you.

P.S Since you're level 36, I'm going to assume you have a horse. You could honestly just ride around the arena with it and get off the horse to go into vanish to step on the pressure plates if you want.

 

1. Kill minions when there is no TNT active. Keep your distance from the main boss.

2. When a TNT appears, there's an audio que that'll give you a couple extra seconds. When you hear it, run to the opposite side of the room, leading the enemy with you.

3. By this point, the TNT should be ready to defuse, so use your mobility spell to rush to it. The mobs shouldn't reach you during this time.

4. That's it. As mentioned above, having health potions and strong gear makes the job much easier, but it can be done without them aswell.
