Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Katie sighs, climbing up and taking the purple crystal; balancing the package with an additional icy limb.

 

"What about Epsi? Would he be willing to have a look?"

 

“Maybe after his next trip into town.”

“It’s the holidays. Go celebrate with your sister.” Sivius repeats. “Maybe pay Abigail a visit, I dunno.”

 

"Huh... I'm still learning a lot about this place."

 

Katie nods, using the crystal. She leaves the package where she found it, before heading home.

 

"I'll see if I can get some info from Anne."

 

"It's true love if you get straight answers from a kitsune..." Rema snickers.

Serra winks with her left eye before turning to dust and reforming as a dryad.
"Depending on how far you push it, you can sometimes get away with this stuff outside of your house."

 

"It's just that I don't know if they are straight answers."

 

"You should be able to tell if she actually answers your question or tries to get you to ask something else."

When she arrives, she notices colored lights inside as well as a small jingling bell when she approaches the door.
"I got the door!" Kiin calls from within, her footsteps rushing towards the door.
...Katie could probably open the door before Kiin even got there.

 

Katie opens the door to her home, looking inside curiously.

 

Kiin skids to a stop as the door opens, before jumping into Katie in something between a tackle and a hug.

Rose walks into view down the hall, chuckling at the sight.
"Well, welcome home."

 

"Seems easy enough."

 

Katie manages to catch herself on a pair of ice hands before she hits the ground, laughing a little.

"Kiin, who's this?" Katie asks, a little concerned.

 

"Quick."
I mention.
"Did you make a preset, or something like that?"

 

Kiin just glances at Rose.
“Rose, hopefully soon to be an officiant here on Earth. I may be a succubus, but true love beats the fake crap my kind pulls any day of the week.” She says, offering a handshake.

“Essentially, yes. Shapeshifting in reality also works, though that’s something beyond me.”

“Well... I guess we wait until she wakes up?” Rema asks, a bit unsure.

 

Katie goes to accept the handshake, before pulling her hand away.

"Katie." Katie says, seeming suspicious of Rose.

 

Rose lowers her hand.
“Sister to Kiin, daughter of Aquira, and above all else my former enemy. I came to earth for refuge, not to fight. Besides, someone needed to take care of Kiin.”

 

"You've been taking care of her?" Katie asks, surprised, glancing at Kiin.

 

"And I."
I add, looking around to find Buddy again.

 

"Yeah.. better not wake her up while she's sleeping."
