"Is there a specific place I need to do that?"

 

As she rights herself, she sees a ledge near the top of the valley split.
“Don-‘t-run-now. It-‘s-vi-sion-is-po-or.”

“Mainland, though judging by what Epsi told me, one part of the forest that burned.”

“You could do it right here if you wanted to see your dog respawn.”

 

"Oh, I know that area. I could get you some."

 

Katie sends a blast of water towards the ledge, trying to latch onto it.

 

Fortunately, the ledge appears to be ground, and she’s able to freeze a path to the ledge...

...where a draconian seems to be waiting.
“Miss... Katie, is it?” They ask.

After pulling down his hood, it winds up being Sivius.

“There’s not any left if it all burned.”

 

“I’m not going to do that.”

 

"Ah, I got that wrong. I thought they grew in burned areas."

 

Katie freezes up for moment as the water does, Katie holding on to the ice as she contemplates what Sivius might be doing out here, and if it's a trick or not.

 

“Katie, relax.” He says, offering her a purple crystal. “This’ll get you back to the library, and back here when you’re done. Don’t leave Kiin alone for the holiday.”

 

"I need to deliver this though." Katie says, glancing down at the package.

 

“No, they only grow in below-freezing conditions, which usually means winter.”

“Point is, you can do it pretty much anywhere here.”

“If you go home, I’ll help you make the trip faster. It’ll take a month at your pace.”

 

"I see... what about mountains?"

 

"Well, that's good to know."

 

"H-How much further do I need to go?" Katie asks, nervous.

 

“You’ve made it two miles out of about four thousand.”

“You can also do it with yourself, but only at home. Change your look until you leave your room and stuff.”

“They don’t usually grow at that elevation, but maybe? I’m not sure.”

 

"Can't hurt to take a look. Though if they are rare, you could waste your time not finding any."

 

"Good to know. Can you do that, too?"

 

"Oh..." Katie says, looking disappointed with herself.

 

“It’s a long journey without voidwalking.”

“We all can.”

“I’m not going. I barely leave for anything anymore.”
