Is Lament Bad? (as A Mythic, Not As A Wand)

reasons why i think lament is bad -

the negative lifesteal wont let u survive some swarmy boss fights. even if healing, u need to hit for mana, which makes it kinda hard to even use damage spells

its water damage. lament is 100% total shit without its normal dmg

mana steal in a water mythic. mana regen > mana steal.

 

im too poor to know

 

compared to other mythics of its level its trash can material

 

If they made lament mr, i'd probably use it just as much as fatal. Not really a fan of mana steal in a wand, find it to be not as viable and useful as mana steal weapons given to other classes.

i could type upa whole thing on this but lets just go over your points instead.

1. - meteor has a cast time where it falls, you could literally melee during this as well as heal, you have more than enough time. Additionally the item has water damage which increases your heals in case you didn't know, therefore making the LS negligible

2. concentration + low int spells = more damage than normal actually; look at spring.

3 the mana steal makes you not even have to build mr at all, its a slow weapon with a fuck ton of MS. If you don't know how attack speed affects MS proc chance, i suggest not even talking about mythics yet at all

4. you can also build hybrid so if you literally CANNOT melee for some dumb reason, you get MR anyway

horse if you want proof it doesent deal as much dmg as gaia or fatal wich are glassy
but this sacrafices hp defense and everything basically just to deal some damage makes it a bit more glassy because the loss of damage

 

youve got a point. but the water dmg is way too low

 

Another good thing about it is that it does very consistent damage. Unlike some weapons cough fatal cough

In all seriousness tho its dmg is way too low. Being the primary element mythic of mage i cannot even kill wybel’s 5th form with it

what in gods name makes you think that it cant kill wybel's 5th form
also, it may be because you are using a bad build or you're just really bad at the game
it can dish out enough damage to kill literally everything in the game, please think before you speak

i actually love that you arent even trying to make it fair, you just cant accept that lament may be good, can you? make an actually unbiased thread and then we'll see

here are some facts for you mr big brain
water weapons usually do less damage than other elements!!!!! now aint that shocking news!!!!
lament has 10/4 ms and guaranteed 129 intel meaning it can provide alot of asswhooping just by itself
wands normally do less damage than others (very fun fact)
lament is near top 3 in mythic wands due to its insane damage output




also you went from saying lament is the 2nd worst mythic to lament is good

-you're gonna have to melee regardless of whether or not you use mana regen or mana steal for curse
-multiple enemies = wth infinite mana (even though 14/4ms + 3/4mr + 129int is already infinite)

now, about the wand itself
-the 10/4 ms is already enough to sustain your mana, meaning it's easier to increase damage
-the 10/4 ms is already enough to sustain your mana, meaning it's easier to be tanky
-the lifesteal doesn't matter really because you have so much mana you can just spam heal
-curse is an amazing powder special, especially when you don't need chain or quake to proc mana steal

-the ability to utilize raw spell so well is part of the wand, lament is able to get so much damage off of raw spell so easily is because of the way lament is designed 10/4, no other wand can pull off the same thing so easily in a 10k hp decebt ele def build + so much mana left over. you can't ignore it. think of it as a water oriented wanted. you can even build lament with whatever tf and make it usable
