SPOILER World Events [3/??]

World Events ​

So apparently in the new update there are these things called "World Events" scattered across the world, made by the great LeoTheLeatherman

Unlike the Secret Discoveries found in Wynn and Corkus however, the World Events you've found don't seem to be recorded anywhere. So I'm making this thread to record all known and found World Events. So if you have found any, please let me know! (I will add more when they are discovered)

Spoiler: World Events

#1. The Mysterious Manor [Lvl 50]


This is the first one I found and is located on a cliff along the coast between Wynn and Fruma at around
Coords: -851 -2450

When you approach the manor, an NPC will tell you that there are pirates attacking and that you must stop them. Then you are given 2 minutes to hold off the pirates from the manor. Once you complete it the gates open and you may enter. Awaiting you inside is an NPC named "Old Man"

He currently doesn't quite say anything, however supposedly he is supposed to. So look out for that when the update is released.

#2. A Cannibal Ambush [Lvl 72]


This one was found by the amazing @Spyder2005 and is located on a mountain side in the Dernel Jungle at around
Coords: -944 -584

When you go near the location there's an NPC named "Dernel Mage"

He tells you that there's a spell he's been working on for years, and then forces you to be his test subject. However his spell fails and simply creates a loud sound which, to his misfortune, attracts the local Tribal Cannibals who eat him up.

RIP Dernel Mage :(

#3. Ternave Miner?

Now this one is a bit different from the others and frankly i'm not quite sure it's a world event, but for now I will treat it as such.

This was discovered by multiple people it seems, and can be found in a cave within some ruins near Ternaves at around
Coords: 851 -1575

When you go inside an NPC named "???" will start mumbling about an emerald mine found under Ternaves that was said to bring riches, but that thanks to a cave-in the crew is now dead. He then realizes you're there and seems clueless as to where he is or why he's there, then for a moment he seems to remember and blames the villagers for causing the death of the mining crew. Following this, he seems to become insane and ends up killing himself via TNT; however, the explosion blows a whole into the emerald mine showing the dead miners laying on the ground.

So much death :(

My favourite event world (I only found two) is the one near ternaves, i was just wandering around and i found it by accident it was kinda suprising how he just killed him self and i liked the dialogue (the second one is the castle).

Things like this make the world feel alive, and add replay value. And this system could be used to create world events, like mini-swarms, mega-bosses that drop sweet items and that people have to team up for, and the possiblities are not endless but still enough to allow for cool stuff

 

This is cool! like spontaneous quests.

 

Number 2 is best by far.

couldn't find a recent event megathread and couldn't be stuffed to create my own

 

I think I came across one in relos, where a mechanic asks you to help her fix a machine

It’s pretty high up in a smallish house :P

 

That's a discovery

You take a battery from the top of a ship in Corkus docks, then bring the electromagic battery to the workshop to open a door to a discovery

 

Found one at Cinfras County / lake region

 

Just so everyone knows how it plays out
A Gylia farmer talks about how his pigs are safe in their pen, and that the Gerten could not steal them due to the Gylia Watch, etc. to the player. He goes on about how his pigs were constantly stolen by the Gerten when he lived in Llevigar, and the army did not even issue him a single guard that he was willing to pay for. He moved to the Gylia area & was never bothered again... while this goes on, several Gerten break into his pig's pen & steal away the pigs that were in there, and he does not notice.

 

I found the mansion one, when you finish defending he lets you in and gives you access to a farm, i forget what specific crops there were.
