A Music Based Rpg Game Idea I've Had

Wasn't sure either to put this in "other games" or "your work", but seeing as it counts as "other games" I thought I'd just it here and see what happens, anyway...

I've had this game idea for quite a bit of time and honestly wanted to ask your guys opinion on the idea and see if you would like it. (note that feedback and criticism is very, VERY wanted)

So...
Once you enter a battle, it isn't turn-based but more of think-on-your-toes seeing as syncing music with enemy attacks and mana/magic regen will make the player have to think fast if they encounter an enemy.

Each enemy has different music tied to them and encounting two different enemies at the same time will give a combination of the two (not just two song mashed together, but both songs styles working in unison)

Enemies attack to the beat of the music and have they're own unique Attacks, Defends, & Heals (some don't have Attacks, Defends, or Heals, but sometimes certain enemies will always be grouped together unless on rare occasion)

Your party members all have 3 basic moves, Attack, Defend, & Heal, each with different cooldowns for using a move. Example: Party member 1: Attack cooldown: 20secs, Defend cooldown: 25sec, Heal cooldown: 5sec. Party member 2: Attack cooldown: 15secs, Defend cooldown: 10secs, Heal cooldown: 15secs.

All party members have multiple different Attacks, Defends, & Heals, all with up sides and down sides, such as taking damage, adding negative effects, removing good effects, etc


I sadly do not have any artwork or story to give seeing as I can't bloody draw and want to at least make sure my story makes sense before reveling it.

This sounds awesome! I've been trying to get into music creation and coding recently, and this sounds like a really cool project. I hope you get it off the ground and make something of it :D

The easiest way is to report your thread with the text saying smth like "Please move this thread to the 'other games' section". It's what you're supposed to do when you want to unlock a thread, so I'd believe that it's applicable here too.

In my defense, my game is an RPG while COTN is a dungeon-crawler.

Other than that, guess its a ripoff or whatever

Maybe the player would be the one playing music. Like the notes are on screen and you hook it up to your piano or something, and the more notes you get correct the more damage? (i don't think you mentioned that)
