Serious Hytale Is Not A Threat To Wynncraft

I am disappointed I have to make this...

Hytale is Hypixel Studios' new standalone game, which is primarily a blocky adventure game filled with dungeons, monsters, and a procedurally generated world for players to explore. Now, i've come across quite a few threads about Hytale being "the end of Wynncraft," or "a copy of Wynncraft". Both of these fall under the category of "fear mongering."

Point 1: Hytale is NOT an MMORPG. Contrary to popular belief, it follows more closely to aspects of games like Trove and Cubeworld (r.i.p Cubeworld). The game is about generating a world (alone or with friends) and exploring its endless limits, encountering randomly generated structures, mobs, dungeons, and more along the way. This is not an MMORPG.

Point 2: Even if it were an MMORPG, why would it threaten Wynncraft? WoW, Runescape, and countless new and other MMORPGS have been present for a long time, but Wynncraft players still play Wynncraft. This is because Wynncraft has aspects that other games do not, and players also prefer the accessibility of Minecraft rather than buying a whole new game.

Point 3: Hytale is made by Hypixel Studios, a branch of the server Hypixel. Hypixel is infamous for its... community (if I dare even call them that, communities are supposed to support each other, thats a hellhole moshpit of 6-year olds on their moms laptops getting sweaty over skywars). This player base is SUPER hyped for Hytale, and I expect them to make up a large portion of the player base. This is not good for obvious reasons, Wynncraft's community is supportive and strong, we aren't driving people away but rather inviting people in.

Point 4: Every new game that comes out has an effect on our community. I stopped playing Wynncraft as much due to Red Dead Redemption 2, and plan to play actively again once 1.18 comes out. Hytale WILL likely leech a few players from every Minecraft server, but I doubt it will kill Wynncraft.

Now for some shameless advertising... if you like Wynncraft, support it, the best way to support it is to make videos about Wynncraft popular on Youtube, leading to more people seeing them and potentially trying out the server!

CSST is interaction but its broken as hell, dungeon runs will still exist in 1.18

 

like i once said, we should get people to infiltrate hytale’s ct and leak update info to slated himself so we can release it first and bash hytale for copying

my post was meant to demonstrate the environment the CSST had, and by extension, Wynn. And doing dungeon runs en masse like the old CSST aren't going to be possible in the new update.

Also, "exploring avos city" is coming, as is "The guide to golden avias and uth shrines"
After editing those, I expect for the update to come, so I get to possibly make update content! Yey! And then a let's play in the update, then a chalenge let's play in the update, and so on.
