Bob's Tears Have Value?

I recently had a small shop for bob's tears + depressing weapons, and a HERO rank came and bought all my bob's tears (for a high price), cause he said that they will have some value in the 1.18 update. Can I get some confirmation about this?

 

It's possible they become a useful crafting item. How much did he buy them for? (and how many?)

 

The new crafting system will allow players to utilize rare materials in crafting weapons, armor, and accessories. They likely want the bonuses that Bob's Tears provide. I don't know what they are.

As said, bob's tears are an ingredient and that is most likely the reason they bought them. However, bob's tears seem to be substantially easier to get so far to me as I have found them in t1 loot chests while doing the hero beta.

 

All materials likely became easier to obtain for testing in the beta. Don't make any claims just yet ;)

 

I doubt it's just for testing but that is true.

 

Yes the effects are quite insane.

EDIT: I found it in Tier 3 chest.
