Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

He only seems to have abilities related to the mind, most normal magics failing.

 

He tries sending a short psychic distortion into the air, getting a bit annoyed.
"Tenebrae, what've you done with me?" He projects telepathically in no particular direction.

 

The distortion fizzles out.

"Huh?" Tiffany asks, looking around, confused.

 

Rineth tries forming another telepathic link in the opposite direction of Tiffany.
"Tenebrae! Focus for a second..."

 

“Depends. Am I wasting my time?”

 

"It tastes disgusting."

I don't know either.

 

"Who are you talking to?" Tiffany asks, puzzled.

 

“Are you hearing my messages?” Rineth asks, turning around.

“They’re potions, not fruity beverages.”

After a while, you can see two wisps floating nearby the cauldron.

“That depends on how much you try.”

 

"You're saying them out loud." Tiffany says happily, glancing up at the sky.

The sky seems to turn bluer, a dark sun bathing white clouds in a dark red light. A breeze rustles the leaves on the large tree, grass waving as it passes over it.

 

“This is all in the mind... but not mine. Yours...?”
Rineth pauses.
“This isn’t real. This is a thought, maybe a dream. Maybe you are too - maybe you’re holding me here...”

 

"You're funny!" Tiffany says cheerily, amused.

 

“How long am I trapped here?” Rineth asks, getting annoyed.

 

"Trapped? You're not in a cage though." Tiffany says, confused.

 

“Unless you know how I got here, I can’t get out.”

 

"Well, if you think you're dreaming, you could try to wake yourself up. I always do something really normal when I want to wake up." Tiffany says positively.

 

“Like what? I don’t seem to be capable of most of my abilities here.”

 

"You could watch the clouds with me. That's what I do with Celeste sometimes." Tiffany says happily.

 

“I... guess, sure?” Rineth says, sitting down.


There’s a knock on Abigail’s door, then the sound of something being placed on the ground and the sound of something flying away.

 

“Alright. How’d you do it?”

 

Tiffany lies back, looking up at the clouds. A lot of them seem to be clumped together, some looking like strange monsters with large open mouths that dissipate. Other clouds look like they're hiding islands, appearing like candy floss.

After looking up to the sky, Rineth starts to feel lighter, before he feels a sensation of falling upwards into the sky.


Rineth wakes up in a hospital bed, a lot of his body bandaged, but feeling like it's been healed. Katie appears to be asleep on a couple of chairs at the end of the room, ice covering them as she breathes slowly.


Abigail opens her door - cup of steaming tea in hand, glancing around.
