Should Wynn Expansion show unIDed items on the floor again?

yes. erry1 could download the mod and use it. also, it was rule abiding; the mods got pissy and decided it should be removed

Technically, it gave a group of players an advantage over others. Even if anyone could download it, still doesn't negate the fact certain players will always have that advantage over others. Not saying I agree completely, but the logic is there.

Personally, mods shouldn't ever have to fill in for features that should already be in the game. Before removing it, the content team should've at least come up with a way to replace the feature. At this point, everyone loses now instead of a select few.

 

As @Gabe Crocoduck said, it gave an unfair advantage. However, I do agree that grinding is terrible right now. @KoreanBarbecue said it best, there needs to be something done by the CT.

 

what do you mean by advantage? anyone with a computer, internet, and 1/8th of a brain could figure it out. what would be the best is if the admins embraced it and actually made the features into the actual game instead of arguing over mods.

 

Except that not everyone fitting that description will download it, thus giving a select people an unfair advantage. I agree they should add it in the game but the other part, ???. All they said is that this feature cannot happen and you got to remove it because it provides an unfair advantage, thank you or some variation.

I mean, there is a lot in demand that needs to be added but Minecraft Engine, a small group of volunteers and one developer, progress is going to be slow. Also, seeing item rarity is high in the priority to-do chart but not the highest tbh.

This post is getting too long now but to note, "embracing mods" is kind of against their main selling point of Wynncraft.

Yall do realize that the CT weren't the ones who didn't allow it nor do we have the power to add features. The Content Team is in charge of CONTENT not code features, the one who's in charge of what features get added is Salted. And maybe he just doesnt want that feature in Wynncraft

 

When I actually first heard of the unided items thing in mods I was surprised it didn't count as in game advantage so I just rolled with it and didn't say anything tbfh.

and while yes, you may argue that everyone can get the mod, wynncraft was designed to be mod free. A mod designed for wynncraft shouldn't have any gameplay advantages over vanilla wynn. It certainly is possible they could add the feature in game like people have suggested, but that's up to them to decide, not us.

 

In my opinion that's a cuclked worldview.
If you're not gonna jump at an opportunity when there's one to profit from it, you're just acting foolish.
How is being able to tell which item is which, when someone is going to pick up that item anyway so bad? If they aren't using best strategies it's their own fault for staying behind.

You're implying that Salted was right to remove that feature from Wynncraft. Sure he has the right, but he doesn't have to BE right. Let's not foget that Francis doesn't always make smartest descisions.

oh no you have to spend a little more effort on grinding, the world has ended

step 1: use your eyes, notice when an item is dropped
step 2: keep a loose track of where items are, you don't have to memorize every item, just notice when in a space that was previously empty there's now an item
step 3: throw out unnecessary items in the same place, preferably to the side so you know not to pick those up
step 4: /class occasionally to
a. refresh the mob spawns
b. clear ground items

honestly, with grinding, the only problem i've encountered is the inventory space. i feel obligated to keep tons of items in tons of ranges because i know that they're useful (breakdown, quartzite helm aquamarine, diaminar, sequoia, fermion, medeis, umbral mail etc)
