Prediction On How They Will Control Tree Chopping

Trees in the nivla woods could take a long time to chop (Ex. 20 Minutes) or require multiple players to chop.

Just an idea!

 

Nah there probably would be no need to control it since i would assume the trees there are lower level and later on not many people will be chopping there for xp

But as seen in the trailer, you get profession levels for doing that, not normal levels. And if everyone starts at woodcutting level 1...

 

Yeah so people are only going to be chopping there for the first couple of days then everyone else will move to different places. Also its not like the trees will never respawn, like they might respawn 20 min after they are chopped

 

Maybe trees will respawn really quick, like 2-3 secounds after chopping, but after respawn tree will be on cooldown, but only for the player who chopped it, that way deforestation won't be a problem and players won't be able to spam one tree for the wood-chopping levels

 

nah prob not i think the tree wil respawn after like 10 min or somthing

 

But if that's the case, a coordinated group of people could chop down entire nivla forest, making the entire area to look wierd and ugly, I don't think this is what content team wants, that's why I think the trees will respawn relatively quickly, so that the terrain won't look ugly

 

maby, maby not we wil see but i feel like if that whould be the case thw affect of chopping down a tree whould go away i think cuz they can't make it that only you can see the copped tree

 

Try breaking obsidian in vanilla survival with your bare hands. That's 4 minutes of constantly pressing a button without moving. You're suggesting that, but five times worse.

 

im pretty sure it was shown to be instantly choppable in the trailer

 

I would assume that the tree takes a certain number of swings and they just showed the last swing because how boring would it be to show 10 seconds of swinging an axe

 

There are, a lot of trees in the world... this won’t be a huge problem. I think that areas like Nivla will have lvl 1 trees which drop a certain amount of XP. And areas in the late game terrain will have higher level trees that drop more XP, basically forcing players to move to different areas once one becomes useless to their level (similar to the mob xp system where lvl 1 zombies become useless once you’re like lvl 20)

and guys maybe the tree will grow back not respawn.... just a thought...

Grow back over a period of 5-10 mins
(Respawn in periods)

 

Kinda hoping they change the tree in the tutorial area so you have to chop it down instead of pressing the button
And maybe instead of it falling over you could use the wood you get to repair the broken bridge by like crafting something idk

 

Just wanted to point out that theres only 60 people pre server, and of course weather or not a tree is choped is server specific,
it would be nearly impossible to chop them all, unless the whole server decied to do it at once as some kind of event.

 

Trees will most likely respawn relativey quickly

Not many ppl would chop there since it is a low lvl area
