Nope. My hype died long ago unfortunately.

When they announced that the next update wasn't RtD, I expected to at least be kept in the know about what WAS coming, however, we know next to nothing. We also haven't had a teaser in over 2 weeks and we haven't seen any hint of a changelog or Beta coming soon.

I love Wynncraft and I'm sure the update will be great, but I try not to get excited any more to avoid the innevitable disappointment when delays and lacks of transparency occur.

why did you type it as "new update"?

 

I am starting to feel a little impatient... I know that there are hard workers, and people with a job working on this server as a cm... But still... After everything I've heard about 1.18 so far... I just want it much faster because I've heard it's gonna change gameplay and make everything a lot more fun! Wynn is boring after 5 straight hours of gameplay atm but I've heard it'll change ._.

 

Maybe I would be if we knew for sure anything about what the next update will add content-wise. How are we expected to be hyped for an update that we don’t know anything about?

 

We were, but not anymore.

Unless there's something new about it otherwise you can't stay hyped for it until its release which will not be happened for the next few months.

Looking at most of the replies in this thread, I feel like people are interested in a new update, not hyped for something in particular. We're eager to see what Wynncraft will bring us in the future, but this wouldn't be considered hype because we don't many specifics about what's coming. At least that's how I feel, I'm curious what comes next for Wynncraft, but I wouldn't say my interest is due to excitement for a specific feature.

 

Not sure if this reply is a joke or not, but the thing is, we have to guess what these teasers mean. Nothing was ever confirmed about what content the next update will have (Detlas revamp and new crab textures is not content, they’re aesthetic changes) We don’t know for sure what purpose the berries or anything else have. I’m guessing a professions system. A food system is possible because of berries, fish, and crabs being shown in teasers, but the Thanos teaser showed gems, which clearly aren’t edible.

 

I think they mean the emeralds. According to the current most popular theory, the number of emeralds in the teaser are timers. They go down by 1 each teaser, except the most recent jump from 3 to 1. Right now we’re at one emerald, likely meaning the update is coming VERY soon. Or at least the next teaser.

 

I can wait for the reward of bees.

 

The update is taking so long that we're starting to get hyped for teasers, which are essentially updates about the update.

 

The longest wait between major updates was 1.13 and 1.14 (Gavel) which was 363 days. We're now at 334 days since the last major update (1.17).

I remember when there we're weekly patches, the good ol' days.

 

I am looking forward to the next update. I think that they might be adding a holiday quest based on how long it is taking and the time of year. It is that or the wynnter fair. One way or another I am looking forward to the upcoming update.
