What Exactly Does Negative Poison Do?

Isn't that positive poison? He was asking what poison does when it is negative, such as on Return to Ether

 

Negative Poison only affects Positive Poison. It increases the amount of poison you need in order for the effect to trigger.
e.g.
If item A has -200 Poison and item B has +100 Poison, you'd end up with -100 Poison and deal no poison damage
If item A has -100 Poison and item B has +200 poison, you'd end up with +100 Poison and deal 100 damage in poison over three seconds. However, you wouldn't deal 200 damage as item B would normally give you, as item A takes away 100 from it.

Having a ton of negative poison in a build that doesn't need/utilise poison is fine though, it doesn't do anything to you then (it won't heal enemies instead).

 

oh im blind it does nothing other than cancel out positive poison

 

contrary to what people say, -poison CAN affect aside from canceling out positive poison:

if the enemy is in the middle of a spell (charge/escape), then the poison will cancel it out (not sure if it will cancel momentum of allied arrow shield, multihit, or uppercut though)

this can be beneficial:
-if you're standing far away from the enemy, they charge at you, they get ticked by the poison mid charge and land short)
-if you're pvping an archer and they try to escape but then get ticked by poison

or bad
-if you're fighting cybel and it's flying around with its charge and poison ticks and makes it land on you

once again, not sure if it affects allied spells

 

The things people have said above me but it also makes wind prison even more useless as a powder special as it breaks the prison if I'm not mistaken

I thought when there is negative poison. Instead of it dealing damage to the mob or player, it just heals them. But now I know. xD
