“You’d need more than just that chisel, though.”

 

"Most likely, yes."

 

I take the time to get a better grip on my surroundings, seeing what’s different about me.

 

The sand quickly heats up again after leaving, and soon seems to become hotter than ever as Fenira gets nearer to a fire guardian barbeque.


The demonic voice seems to get cut short as it's presence fades, as well as any form of contacting Praecantatia, too.

 

Fenira takes off again, starting to regret her trip.


Petunia fades.

You look nearly the same, hold for some more cohesive curvature and neater joints.

You then hear a click.
“Hey, you back in there?”

“Absolutely yes. There’s more tools out front, look on the shelves below where I keep the charm templates.”

 

"What else do you have?"

 

“A needle chisel, a few stamp-like rods, and a broken off claw.”

 

“Yeah. I’m here.”
I try my best to nod.

 

"Are those equipment of trinkets?"

 

You don’t have any troubles doing so.

“Neat. We’re finishing up checks on our end to make sure we didn’t leave anything important hanging. You’re not getting overwhelmed by input right now, are you?”

“They work for other things too, but yes I use them for trinkets.”

 

Once Fenira gets high enough, she can see that a large part of the ocean looks a lot deeper than it should be. After looking at it for a while, it seems to move.

 

“Nope. Everything seems fine on my end.”

 

"Who would be interested in this?"

 

"I don't know, I just make whatever seems worth my time."

"Okay, good. I'll be blunt, we added an auxiliary system to help process everything with your upgraded sensors. Haven't tested out its interface with your existing systems, but that's why you're here for more than a day. It also should permit you to react to a few other biological tendencies, such as sleep or eating. They're unnecessary, but you should experience more positives from doing either."

She tracks it, curious.

 

"Then again, people usually buy your trinkets because they are made by you, a dragon, right?"

 

“Huh. Neat.”
I try flexing a few of my muscles.

 

It swims around the ocean seemingly randomly, before heading toward an island in the middle of the ocean. On it, Fenira can see another altar; much like the one she came in through. A few water guardians sit around it, though apart from the altar, a bit of sand, and a coconut tree, it doesn't seem to house a lot of life. The water suddenly rises and falls as Gaia emerges from the ocean, stepping onto the island and through the portal the altar creates. The water guardians all bow to her as she does so, before resuming what they were doing.

 

Fenira tries linking with Gaia as she glides towards the altar.


Rineth approaches the shadow palace in draconian form, kneeling once he gets somewhat near the guards.
"Is your king accepting visitors at the moment?"

You don't seem to be built to resemble anyone particularly strong, but the resulting movement looks even more natural than before.
"It might not feel quite normal at first, we had some problems interfacing with your original code."

"That, and having a charm or two handy is always nice. Water breathing can save someone in a flood, heat resistance can get someone out of a burning building."

 

"Ah, it sends off a good impression."

 

Fenira can't seem to link with Gaia, some magical force seeming to prevent weaker telepathic communication. The altar seems to lead back to the fields, however, meaning Gaia will be hard to lose.


The guards nod, bowing to Rineth shortly after.
