Mythics are a nasty bunch of items to classify because they're all so different. As you'll likely notice in multitudes of other threads, playing favorites and fighting for your own perceived underdogs can put everyone in conflict. So, how do we 'Rank Mythics Properly'? Not simply. Ha. Expected it to be easy huh? Nope.

The problem is stratifying, or grouping the mythics and ranking them within their respective sections. Comparing weapons to armor, daggers and spears to wands and bows, or boots to a chestplate just doesn't make sense. Now that we've got weapons to compare with competitors in the same class and armor to compare with same slot counterparts, its time to rank them all:

S Rank: Extremely Versatile and contains stats that can take a build far and above others. Often marketed for the highest prices and sought after for godlike rolls.

A Rank: Flexible and holds stats exceeding those of the highest level gear, but within reason. Typically sporting cult followings and making pretty pennies for finders or conniving scammers on the trade market.

B Rank: Effective, but potentially cumbersome. Unless used properly, its stats can easily be wasted. These mythics are much cheaper, but often get traded in conjunction with others to upgrade from lower rank mythics to higher, or find another of the same mythic with better stats.

C Rank: Usable, but even experts may struggle to find a suitable home for the item. Not impossible, but not for everyone. A sad piece to have in the market, often sitting on the shelves of mythic emporiums and trading stalls for weeks. You'll be slow to get returns on this mythic; that is if you weren't already scammed out your hard earned LE for it.

D Rank: D stands for discard whenever possible. The nearest trade market thread or even the Detlas trash chute may be faster alternatives. Mythics in the D rank are considerably worse or significantly harder to build with than any other rank of mythics. These produce words of hatred when gazed upon by experienced players. My advice: Avoid making physical contact with the mythic. Actually, avoid eye contact with it too. best to put a cosmetic disguise over it when in public and avoid trading it unless you're certain there isn't scamming involved. Any mythic is still worth more than no mythic.

    Starting Easy, Chestplates:
SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS Rank - Discoverer (A.K.A. Disco):
Completely unchallenged, all the other mythic chestplates are dead at the feet of disco. JK, disco is where the money hoarders throw their fat stax at hoping to get a Max LB set. Mostly useless for everyone else, unless you're lucky enough to find one. Make money off it. Get a more fun, less grindy mythic out of it.

    Also Easier Section:
    S Rank - Slayer:
Thunder builds are aplenty, and Slayer is no exception. Slayer's massive raw melee damage and thunder damage % boost can take the already insane damage of an assassin or archer to godlike levels. Even warriors will take down bosses as if they were sporting the damage of another class. Slayer is a force to be reckoned with, but easily finds a home throughout Wynn. In fact, its easy to pick up and play nature also means Slayer has a large market already. Enjoy selling, trying to reroll for extreme stats, or both!

    S Rank - Crusade Sabatons:
Speaking of warriors, any tanks seeking some extra protection or an item to center their build around will take a liking to these boots. The unparalleled HP bonus and significant damage boost they provide can enable builders to optimize other portions of their gear while creating a sturdy backbone of HP and defenses to rest on. These boots sport universal stats that anyone can find value in, and value they do. Expect to sell these boots in the market or keep them for that next build in need of some extra padding.

    A Rank - Galleon:
A fearsome pair of boots; Galleon is the go-to for hybrid builders that want some mana stealing action to go with their huge servings of earth and spell damage. With forgiving skill requirements that make building a breeze for spell users, this set of boots will put a smile on everyone except the foes of its user. Similar to Boreal, Galleon has one flaw that holds it in from being truly OP; thunder. Sadly taking -275 thunder defense, a stat the rarely sees raw defense numbers over 100 to 150, it is a struggle to completely eliminate this weakness, but shouldn't stop you from using the boots yourself. If you do come across them, be sure to say hi when @highbread stops by for hybrid build equipment.

    A/B Rank - Boreal:
Not to be overlooked, Boreal offers ludicrous air defense, virtually nullifying air damage in its entirety and brings in the best health regen wynn has to offer from a pair of boots. Thanks to its high agility requirement, you're likely going to be regenerating HP more often than other build HP Regen builds. There are only two problems; fire and HPR. If you're interested in fighting some tough opponents like cybel, -250 fire def is not a friendly sight. "But wait! You just said 'the best health regen wynn has to offer'!". Yes I did. But, as reminded by @Pokextreme HPR is also arguably the least useful stat wynn has to offer. Now, if you handle the boots properly, it'll pay off, but they're not right for all situations unfortunately. The price tag reflects similarly. Fewer use cases means a smaller audience of buyers. Expect longer threads with these boots.

    B Rank - Warchief:
If you were looking for an easy pair of boots to throw into a build and waltz through your enemies, then you probably were looking for something else. Warchief will be far worse on its user than any of the other mythic boots. Punishing its user with over -400 elemental defenses scattered throughout the rainbow will likely make this the most challenging piece of equipment to utilize effectively. Without spamming potions AND making a build to reach it's massive 100 STR skill requirement while utilizing its remarkable damage boosts, users will fall short on most, if not all, occasions. Not for the feint of heart or inexperienced. It is often the butt of jokes in the marketplace and traded for less than even a stack of LE; almost regardless of it stats. Poor man's first mythic.
Is it getting hot in here? Oh, that's just this thread catching fire as I introduce arguably the most controversial section; Mythic Bows. As a disclaimer, I have only used 1 mythic, and that was Freedom.

    S Rank - Stratisformis:
Easily one of, if not, the most sought after mythics in Wynn. Its insane speed boost, agility, and above average damage makes this the perfect weapon for an archer. Quick and deadly is the class' primary usage after all. This mythic practically speaks for itself to be quite honest. You can find countless builds for it. Don't expect this mythic to come cheap either. I've heard this mythic has been sold for tens of stacks of LE. Unlike Disco, Stratisformis is expensive and useful. If you ever come across this mythic in your travels, I suggest consulting professionals at the mythic emporium in the heart of the trade market before selling.

    S Rank - Spring:
Never take tap, always Spring. Bad puns aside, Spring is likely one of the best spell spamming weapons you could find. A massive payload of 4 mana regen, intelligence, and damage. This weapon easily bests other dps/time weapons thanks to its stats. However, this mythic relies heavily on spell spamming. For that reason, anything less than 3 mana regen on spring is quite disappointing. If you are lucky enough to find a Spring, make sure to reroll it if mana regen is less than 3. Rerolling at 3 or higher would be a gamble.

    C Rank - Ignis:
Fire archers are generally the worst because of their low base defense. However, Ignis, unlike many other fire bows, has no mana steal, mana regen, spell damage %, or melee damage %. Ignis has only two major stats: HP and HPR. As previously mentioned with Boreal, HPR is the least useful stat that any item has to offer because of its lackluster performance. The fact that it's one of the primary stats makes Ignis, hands down, one of the worst mythic bows. Due to its lack of interesting stats, very few builds for it exist, but that doesn't mean it is entirely useless either. Despite being worse than most the other mythic bows, Ignis does have a lot of options for damage boosting thanks to its rainbow % defenses boost and massive HP bonus. Other builds that use low HP items or include lots of -defense can be remedied with these bonuses. This means you can effectively build around Ignis's low damage by utilizing its defenses to patch your armor instead of the opposite. Ignis has less potential than other cheap mythics, but is far better than the last 2 bows. Just remember, defense counts for almost nothing on archers, so keep moving.

    A Rank - Grandmother:
Grandmother is practically the highest damage earth weapon in Wynn. With the right build and rage, this mythic can reach insane damage. However, Grandmother’s high strength requirement, negative walk speed%, and -HPR makes it harder to use. As it’s also known, GMA is claimed to be overpowered and underpowered, getting nerfs here and buffs there. Since only -HPR matters, any GMA is better than no GMA, as most builds that utilized it will likely have some -HPR anyways. Another mythic that needs an experienced set of hands but can be used to deadly effect.

    A Rank – Freedom:
Will you ever find freedom? Possibly. If you do, congratulations on escaping. However, if you found Freedom, you’re also lucky too. Rainbow builds are aplenty, and Freedom is easily the single best rainbow bow you could hope for. No negative stats, 3 mana regen, +5SP to all, +all def%, +all dam%, +raw spell, +raw melee, +HP, and excellent damage. With the right build, this bow can reach damage comparable to Spring and even GMA. However, with the nerf to Morph that is incoming, I can’t say how easy to build with the bow will be in the future. It had a significant nerf previously, and morph is another indirect nerf. Still, I’d say the weapon is easy to put into a build and extremely effective. It also sells for quite a few stacks of LE if you’re ever selling.

    D Rank – Divzer:
What feels like the direct competitor to Cataclysm for the title of most damaging weapon cross classes, Divzer is the big brother of Az. Divzer is like the grown-up version of Az; It is bigger, better thought out, and much slower. The only problem; it’s still only *just* better than Az. Divzer has moved on from thoughts of water and fire, as it now solely depends on thunder to pay tuition. By learning, Divzer now also has stats that can improve its user, like mana steal and life steal. However, Divzer drones on for so long that it makes you tired, draining all your agility (literally -400). Divzer is just Az that got rid of its undeniably trash stats but fails to improve over Az beyond achieving much higher damage and those 2 stats. Is it a competitor to Cataclysm? Yes, easily. Is it better than other mythic bows? Not even Ignis. Given a good build Divzer might be usable, but it will never survive long enough to put the damage to good use. Even the most effective archers get hit once or twice, but using Divzer means there’s no chance of negating that damage. In short, only useful in a party where you aren’t being targeted. Few people have this mythic, and it doesn’t really have an audience for selling either.

    D Rank – Az:
Since we’re comparing all the bows together, Az is still going to be compared to all the other mythics in this category despite being the lowest level of them all. You can ignore this rating if you don’t think it is representative of the bow itself, but know that I agree, at its own level range, it’s probably the best bow you could hope for, just not in this lineup. Moving on, this bow is actually better than Ignis IMO. Even though it is overshadowed by other weapons in terms of damage, even by high level legends like Cluster, Hellstrand, and Hive Bow, Az still has significant damage when boosted in a high level build. It will at least compare to same level legends, but for the price tag and rarity, getting the same performance as items at a fraction of the cost is simply not worth it. For that reason alone I can comfortably give this bow a discard whenever possible rank, but I’m not done yet. This bow has been getting changes, buffs, nerfs, and powder slot increases to make use of the fire and water stats and incentivize players to use it. I would be shocked if there weren’t more changes on the way for Az. Okay I think I’m done throwing shade at Az today.
The first of the two melee type weapons, daggers are one of the least controversial groups of mythics, second only to chestplates... really setting a high bar there. Daggers are one of the two mythic sections to have items below level 70; the other being Wands. Like the Assassin class, Daggers are more well rounded than other weapon types, featuring mostly average damage, defenses, and versatility.

    B Rank - Weathered:
Nothing special or outstanding about the dagger, Weathered features a solid ws% bonus, plenty of extra SPs for DEX and AGI, some extra air damage%, and okay base damage and attack speed. Unlike other air mythics such as Strati or Warp, Weathered gives the player a meager boost of 33% ws at max. The lack of outstanding stats will lead players to find other more extreme items, but don't be fooled. Weathered can be put to good use, but isn't outstanding. Again, the lack of speed in the dagger means that other air items with above average walk speed are necessary to get damage evasion of other air mythics. However, since assassins have vanish, evading damage is practically second nature to any good assassin player; simply casting vanish and sprinting or using the jump boost to evade enemy attacks. This amplifies Weathered's ws further, but leaves the damage to be desired. Most Weathered builds will struggle for 9 or 10k damage on spins with mediocre-at-best defenses. After the release of Unravel, a legendary air helmet that had huge bonuses, and a slight buff to Sagittarius, Weathered was in a better than normal situation. However, with the nerf of the Gambler in the same update, Weathered builds suffered a huge defense drop as most relied on its negative defense elimination. Overall, the quick burst of Weathered builds has passed, and along with them the prices have dropped in the markets. If you want a first mythic on the cheap and don't mind having to think outside the box when building for your Assassin, this item might be the right dagger for you... but not the majority of players. Expect only players experienced in the art of WASD and spell swapping to actually use the item properly, as it favors a run and gun play-style newcomers may not be ready for. This weapon could use a slight damage buff IMO. B Rank for Better luck next time.

    A Rank - Nullification:
Exactly what I need after a migraine; Nullification does exactly what you'd think. Any incoming damage is dramatically reduced thanks to essentially holding the same stats of Gemini combined with Virgo. Nullification, or Nulli, has all the stats you could want in a rainbow melee build too: Life Steal, Mana Steal, Rainbow Elemental Resistance, and Reflection. The only problem is low base damage. You see, like all good sponge tanks, Nulli takes hits and does about the same amount back. This means you can out-heal your opponents with life steal most the time, but you'll struggle for damage over 8 or 9k on spins. Nulli's a frontline HP sponge weapon, designed to be used in a party and supported by damage dealers. Unlike other defensive weapons that have high base damage and slower swing speeds to reduce DPS, Nulli has low base damage and superb swing speed to enable more consistent stealing bonuses without adding damage. This means rainbow items like stellar, cadence, or libra are almost necessary to achieve any decent damage output. Thankfully for its owners, Nulli has a slew of rainbow tank builds ranging from all Morph to all Morph-Gemini. Of course that's a joke, as Nulli is a rainbow dagger with similar requirements to plenty of other items, but high rainbow defense items like Morph, Libra, and Gemini will benefit the most from this item. Nulli is somewhat harder to find on the market since it was added roughly a year ago in the 1.17.5 update with Collapse, Singulatiry, and Divzer (ty @dukioooo for changes tab), however it's not exactly a hot item either. An A rank for a extremely well known play-style and very flexible stats. Despite everyone under the sun using morph, the stats can make any rainbow build much sturdier.

    C Rank - Nirvana:
Nirvana was the subject of immense scrutiny and optimization by me during the dark ages of double (and even triple) master hive. Having built for Nirvana multiple times in the past, allow me to be the first to tell you, it was a joy. No joke, Nirvana's bonus 40 intel points meant only HP and Damage were necessary. Defenses are important too, but selecting items that naturally cancel out or can be easily powdered away made building for it a breeze in the past. However, with needed balances and changes now in place, where does Nirvana belong today? Well, the max 40 intel (down from 50+), 3 MR, 39% spell (up from 34%), and 260 raw spell (double from 130) mean primary stats have remained relatively the same or gone up significantly. However, the health reduction is now almost half of Strati's at -800 to about -1450. That's a huge reduction for an item with relatively low damage to take. Most of Nirvana's damage comes from sustained spell spamming. The problem with lower HP means you're less likely to survive worse attacks like high damage boss spells with AOE. Many of the items that'd boost a Nirvana build's damage have been severely limited as more equipment slots are going to be dedicated towards items that can reduce the -HP. In the past, Master Hive items meant that HP was easy to spare. After nerfs to the HP of Boreal-Patt and other water build items, it is far harder to effectively use easy methods for patching the -HP leak. Like so many others, Nirvana hasn't aged well. Without the backbone of easy access HP items, Nirvana builds could see base HP as low as Cata or Strati builds even at best. I don't expect many players to be in search of this item due to this poor recommendation, but there are still many Nirvana sellers on the market if you're interested.

    A Rank - Inferno:
The direct competitor to Flameshot Hilt; Inferno is typically underrated by most players. As with last 3 daggers, Inferno doesn't have any extraordinary stats in comparison to other mythics.
Inferno has good attack speed, base damage, fire %, melee %, melee raw, and extra HP. The best part of Inferno is being so well rounded and defensive. Unlike Nulli, which didn't have the damage to support the defenses, Inferno has better damage, only slightly worse defenses, -1 MR, and much better durability from the HP boost. Unlike other high req mythics, Inferno's high defense is actually useful (:eyes: Ignis). Builds with Inferno will always have some degree of defense, allowing builders to focus on increasing the damage and mana with items that have low base HP thanks to Inferno's significant HP boost. Overall, this is one of the most underrated and under priced mythics on the market. Inferno is the sophisticated budget player's dream item. It's great for anyone looking to grab an extremely cheap, bang for your buck mythic due to its favorable stats and HP boost. (3-6 stacks according to @Realises thread, seriously get this.)

    S Rank - Grimtrap:
Grimtrap is the only decent earth spell dagger at high level. Its very high Life Steal, Poison, and thorns make the perfect backbone for solid hybrid builds or streamlined stealing builds. Grimtrap's poison boosts player's melee damage, incentivizing players to melee and activate the high life steal and negative mana steal. Yes, the negative mana steal (-1 to -3) is the only negative stat, which is why building with mana regen and mana steal is so effective with the weapon. Most mana steal builds have well over 8 mana steal, so the negative stat can easily be cancelled out and supplemented with mana regen. So, you've got great base neutral and earth damage, 3 powder slots, high STR (90), and 3 great primary stats for only -1 mana steal. It's very hard to go wrong with this mythic. Grimtrap also pratically speaks for itself, as many threads asking for builds litter the Class Builds section. But all mythics have a cost, and Grimtrap is... almost as cheap as Inferno... :ok_hand:.

Oh the dilemma. Cataclysm is a nasty dagger to tackle. What rank should it receive? How good or bad is it? Welp. *clenches fist*. Gotta do this. *smashes spoiler button*
Time to rip into Cataclysm. Oh crap, the sign. Runnnnnnn!

    C Rank - Cataclysm:
The most overrated mythic on the market by far; Cataclysm sports a massive -3.5k to -6.5k HP stat. As far as any Cata buyer should be concerned, that's the only stat that has any meaning to the rest of the item. The damage is to be expected, Cataclysm has made a name for itself as being the most damaging item in the game. No, the problem is that HP. No other item can claim being built entirely around like Cataclysm. Extremely high HP items are necessary to patch the gaping hole that is Cataclysm. To top that off, Cata has 115 DEX req! You're going to need loads of skill points, massive HP, and not too much -spell or -melee in order to take full advantage of Cataclysm. That's, IMO, too tall an order for 90% of class builds and builders. To further put the nail in the coffin, Cataclysm is ......... more ........ expensive ....... than ...... all ..... the .... other ... mythic daggers...

Cataclysm, AKA Cata, almost got a D for Don't try this at home, but if you're able to get one, why not.
Don't expect it to be easy, just make sure to follow Cata's motto: You can't die if everything else is dead first. Strike hard, strike fast, and run like hell.

    Oh wait it's a level 69...
    D Ran-
    What!
Okay fine I'll actually look at it...
    Oh hey! That's not bad!
    D+ Rank - Archangel:
For a low level dagger, archangel is a fantastic weapon, but we're not in the low levels right now. Comparing with all the other mythics in this category, Archangel is significantly worse than all others. Being the lowest level dagger in the category doesn't immediately make it the worst, but it doesn't help Archangel either. Actually, Archangel is a essentially a 30 level lower version of Weathered. That's great for Archangel at level 69, but comparing directly to high level mythics is a pain. The damage is significantly lower, and everything else is okay, but sacrificing too much durability in favor of damage can mean your build will not be as stable as a Weathered or Inferno. Overall, if you're interested in playing lower levels for longer or prepping another character, Archangel is great for assassins and could easily carry you for the rest of the low level ranges (pre 90+). Otherwise, you'll struggle. The price reflects the item for once. This is a low low price dagger that few people want and fewer people would actually pay more than a stack or 2 for.
I'll be posting more updates to the thread soon^tm. Promise ;)

Great review though btw. I especially like it how you put it in the context of the trade market.

If you don't, that completely ignores one of the biggest parts of mythics as a whole. Marketing, selling, and reselling is huge. Couldn't forget that.

Much better guide than most, except you should get someone with more market experience if you want to add the market descriptions

From experience, sabs and slayers dont sell nearly as fast nor for as much as you imply

Maybe add general prices from the mythic price guide?

Is a good start for prices

Selling time is difficult to determine due to supply and demand, you'd need to have experience in the market for that

None of these items sell easily in the market, especially warchief. A general rule for mythic boots is that unless it's above the general par for the item, it might take a while to sell it.

    Unless it's warchief.

Then you're fucked godly or not pretty much tbh

I have sold items before. I know items don't sell when they're mediocre or lower. Roughly, how long would it take for these items though. Example:
That's a good measuring tool right there.
There may be a correlation between price and time on the market, but that's still not what I'm looking for. Great resource though; I completely agree with that @Realises .
That's exactly what I'm asking for...
Not sure if we're gonna need those, but warp is in my sights for C. Very specific niche uses warp. essentially only useful for walk% builds and memes. Maybe stealing builds.
    ________________________________
Problem for warp is building potential, which warp doesn't have nearly as much of compared to other wands. For example, Cata has similarly high requirements, but gets massive damage in exchange for it (and -HP). Warp has -MR and -HP in exchange for SPEEEEEED. Walk% is okay, but not a stat that you'd actually want in combat, especially for bosses like cybel, where moving too quickly can trigger plates or put you into enemy AoE zones. Best to use a scalpel than a sledge in surgery. Unless you're gonna slap statue on top. Then you're using a wand that makes spell casting entirely reliant on mana steal and drains your HP. It's just not useful enough on its own. If it's in expert hands, 90% of the time it's in a speed build and the other 10% it's being utilized as a secondary.

On paper they're good for warriors, mages, and assassins looking to reach decent defenses. I could also see Divzer + Sabatons if someone were compelled to make a durable spell spam build. Plenty of -water def gives all the more reason to utilize water powders and get concentration while providing 20% spell and the ever coveted high earth defenses. Anima, mana steal chest and legs + sabatons could be good. Honestly it's really good.
    Therefore, No U.

That's a joke about there being no other mythic chestplates.
    Explaining jokes kills me. *F*

Ye I bought sabatons for a flameshot build it was actually p nice because I was sacrificing 700 ish dps in return for a whopping 3-3.5k ish more hp (4k if I had bought a near max hp one)
I used it for some time on my ignition build as well (3-3.5k ish more hp in return for 500 ish less dps not including when courage is active) before I decided I was done playing around with it oof
I will say though I agree that if you don't have a good-godly pair of sabatons it will take some time to sell from personal experience of trying to sell my own.

Don't make sweeping statements that have no basis in reality. People buy items all the time. As literally everyone here has pointed out, mythic sales take a long time. That's why I'm looking for people who know the market very well. Even if I don't know the market well, I can debunk blatantly false statements. It's called the "search bar". I suggest using it in the future before claiming things to the effect of: "no one has ever done" xyz thing. I don't mind if you think the boots aren't good enough to meet the ranking I gave them, but what you said was completely irrelevant to the conversation and only detracted from the thread. Please stay on topic. Do you have anyone in mind that'd be informed about the current mythic market?

    not all the time

anyway, crusades aren't only good for boosting hp in ultra tank or just all around buffing hp, it can be used in the same way as items such as ignis and guardian: throw on crusades for tons of hp then slap on conflagrate, fire sanc and other "glassy" fire damage items in terms of hp. it can also be used on earth/fire builds (if you want to have a stab at that)
