I Kind Of Want To Quit

Okay, here's some backstory. I've been trying to join this server for months, but my PC and Internet sucks. When 1.13 came out, I was able to join. Keep in mind, I was trying for like 7 months. Then, I made a class. I got all the way to level 11 but in that sewer drainage quest whenever I joined that class I would crash and have to rejoin Minecraft. So I made a new mage and got to lvl 6 on that one. I then went to the spider forest and tried the cave quest by girl named "Havlin" or something. Spiders from the outside swarmed from 8-17 and spiders inside also came by the fives. I died in 8 seconds everytime I tried. I lost all my soul points, so when I died I lost 2 wands I had, 2 potions, and the powder I had gotten from the powder merchant. I don't know what to do, as I have no soul points, I've lost one of my classes, and when I made a new one I lose my powder. This really sucks with the time I've put in trying to join and play on this server. Sorry for the rant, I'm just frustrated.

 

If you get destroyed by mobs, you should grind some lower level mobs for better gear, or buy some gear from a merchant. Ragni sells some nice early game gear that can help you survive the forest.

 

Maybe you should save up some money to a new computer?

 

A couple tips:
First, you should try to grind some low level mobs and see if that helps. I've found that the area around Katoa Ranch is pretty good for grinding at the early levels.
Second, as a mage, you want to kite mobs as much as possible. Try walking backwards while shooting the mobs. Hopefully, if they reach you, they will be weakened or dead. Also remember to use your heal spell whenever you get low.

Is it your PC that's the problem, or your internet connection? I find it's often the latter.

Also, you've barely started the early game. I would recommend reaching the 30s before deciding whether you like the game or not, since that's when the content gets good.

Regarding the quest Spider Cave, some people consider it one of the hardest quests to complete at the level it's available at. Plenty of people aren't able to complete it until level 10-12.

 

Try to keep your soul point total above 5. Just go afk in a town.

 

Don’t worry you can find better powders and better items than the ones you lost in no time.

But be worry in the future you might loses thousands of emeralds especially with horse breeding (I lost 64 Le because of it).

 

Legend has it that a player, long ago, bought a piece of armour from a town’s armour merchant. He died soon after. . .

 

In my opinion the coast path is much safer then the path through the forest. It will bring you to nemract. Next you can buy a TP scroll to datlas and do the tunnel quest to grant you free teleportation between datlas and ragni. Completely avoiding the forest.

 

my first year of experience in wynncraft was at maximum 10 fps, I quit for about a year and then I bought a laptop to play again.

quiting was for me the most regretful thing about wynn, I missed alot and didn't got back that easily. but here I am still playing after 4-5 years after the start!
I hope you won't make the same mistake as I did and most of all: hang on, the server isn't going anywere. even when you forget about it.

 

Don’t worry about dying so much. The early game is always really intimidating the first time you play through it - you don’t yet fully understand the mechanics of the game, and you make mistakes and die a lot. I died like 50 times during my first playthrough between only levels 1 to 30.

I suggest you slow down, don’t try to speedrun the game. You don’t need to do every quest, definitely not all at the level they’re made for. And if you don’t like quests, that’s okay too — there’s way more things to do. You can grind mobs, explore the map, do dungeons, whatever. No parts of the game are really mandatory to do. To better fight the mobs, try grinding some mobs or buying some better items in Ragni, to make sure you have more powerful items to use against the mobs. Don’t worry about losing some items, you can always get new, better ones. And most importantly, expect to fail and die. A lot. Many, many deaths. Don’t give up, especially in the early levels. Just keep trying, and you’ll quickly start finding mobs easier to deal with, you’ll learn new strategies to fighting them, and you’ll be able to enjoy this amazing game.

The sewers bug is caused by you using 1.13, it can be fixed by downgrading to 1.9-1.12.2
