Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

I travel to the projector, however that may be.

 

She looks around, keeping her gaze low.

“I mean, there’s still plenty of us in these mountains, aren’t there?”

Normal walking seems to work.

It has a few small buttons, none of them labeled.

 

"True. A few friends is more then enough."

 

She's still in the fields, though she seems to have been moved atop a hill.

 

“We need a foothold and a place to call home, and that’s exactly what we have.”

Now grounded, she looks at her feet and the rest of her body, curious.

 

She seems to be as she formed, hopefully no longer wounded.

 

Upon noticing her innards actually inside her body, she lights up and stretches out one wing after another, appearing like a child discovering new playthings.

 

"As long as you're happy. Then it's all good."

 

Nobody comes to see Fenira, though nobody seems to have noticed her.

 

I wait for about five minutes, while looking around.

If nothing happens, I press one of the buttons at random.

 

"Happy... I don't know. Content, yes. I can't speak for everyone, though."

She wanders aimlessly a bit, slowly increasing her pace from a slow drag to a power walk, her head slowly held higher despite keeping her gaze low.

Nothing happens until you press the rightmost button, which seems to turn on the projector. Its hologram starts out blurry, then clears into an image of a woman.
"Hello, Thirteen, welcome to the Stellar Net. I suppose you already know who I am, or at least enough to make stating my name redundant."

 

"Yes, Stella."
I nod, looking at the woman.
"It's nice to... meet you, if you could call it that."

 

"Code to code is as close as you're going to get. I suppose I should cut to the chase, though... I'm mostly just here to help you kill time. Well, that and you're here to avoid data corruption."

 

"I think Rema enjoys it. Gram and Siln too, I think."

 

Fenira eventually finds a few young guardians, who seem to be playfighting. One child seems to have carved a sword and shield out of wood, while another wields a wooden axe. A third child holds a stick shaped like an 'L', and pretends to fire it like a gun.

 

"Works for me."
I shrug.

 

She continues on, looking for Gaia or older guardians.

“Is there anything you’d like to know or do while you’re here?”

“Fair. Rema’s always keeping herself busy, though, maybe that has something to do with it. Regardless, to each his own. This just isn’t my ideal image of life.”

 

He nods.
"I understand."

 

As Fenira continues on, a giant shadow passes over her as a brown dragon flies past. It's huge wings disrupt the ground below it, sending a strong gust of wind over Fenira. Gaia is nowhere to be seen, though Fenira does notice a few older guardians ahead pointing out the dragon as it flies over them, too.

 

Fenira approaches the group of guardians ahead.
“Hello?”

“Anyhow... I don’t see anything I have that you’d find useful. Sorry to make you take the long walk for nothing.”
