Generic Fantasy - [5/7]

"Of course I do! What kind of bard do you take me for? Why would I even fight you..? What kind of farce do you take me for?"
He takes out a rather shoddy lute, plucking out some.. passable.. tunes.

Elves. They used to have massive stretches of territory on the eastern coasts of the continent, but last you'd heard they were having a few problems. No word on how long ago last you'd heard is. Old, flexible, and very good with magic, but the fast majority of them are so shackled by tradition and law that they barely do anything. An elf rogue from the culture of their people is a strong one, almost by default.
All easily remembered from when you studied other peoples for....? It's hard to remember.

Towards the direction of the tremors, there's the ambient magic in the air, the occasional magic item in the city below, and then a sharp cutoff at what you'd assume is the river.
It's hard to tell, but you can see some distant lights off in the 'horizon', nothing to write home about. Whatever's causing this isn't explicitly magic.

 

Quietly fiddle around with my pendant for a bit before turning back to everyone.
"Someone tell me what's outside."

 

"Let's get to it then"

 

"Hey mind if I stab you? Non-lethaly ofcourse."

 

Dez and Zeth were busy, so it was Matt who picked himself up and limped towards the window.
"Uuh..? River, mountains... Huh. The knife looks weird, barely? Sky's lighter, and... all the clouds are gone. Ok, that's weird. There were some clouds when we came here."

"Alright. I can teach you the key commands and stuff, or the underlying theory. Wait, how did you learn magic?"

""...Yes?"

 

"Knife?"

*Is very focused on this right now*

 

"I learnt exact spells"

 

"Oh... well, it's the tallest mountain in the range. On southern side of it too, but doesn't matter because of how stupidly huge it is. The peak looks... shiny? Almost like all the snow on it turned into ice."

"Key commands it is. Unless you want to make your own spells or become a scholar or something, they'll have to d- wait ice?"

 

Turn to face whoever says this.
"What do you know about this?"

 

"Make my own spells? I want that, but this first"

I stab him a little bit. I then place a chunk of flesh into the circle and drip a bit of bard's blood on it.

"Okay... I haven't this in like? 20 years? Let's see..."

I pull my left arm forward with the knife pointing inside. I lift my clothes on my chest with my right hand, to expose my chest.

"By the way, you should probably stand back."

"D ucwkg bcgg."

"D xdiz bcgg."

I turn around and fully stab bard in the chest.

"D upooji bcgg."

I pull the knife out and throw it at the circle.

 

Zeth: "Didn't think she'd be awake this time of century, but it's some...one I vaguely know of. The errand's actually visiting her..."

It's already a lifeless corpse. He died freakishly quickly.

 

"Who is she?"

 

"Can you stop getting side tracked?"

 

"Well that was shit."

If I have any alcohol I disinfect his wound and rip up some clothing to patch him up.

"So sorry about this. I forgot I needed to stab you for it to work."

I pick up the corpse.

"Well, eat it", I extand my arm towads him and hold it the corpse in my hand.
