Your Thoughts On Mineplexs Halloween Horror 2018

In my opinion, it's outstanding. The new 3 classes and Robin Hood making a return is a breath of fresh air.

Not only that, the only four player limit is great, allowing for more control in the outcome of the game, unlike horde mentality.

My biggest thing I love is that the challenge mode is hard. This promotes a level of strategy, and not stupidly easy unlike the 2015 version and being harder as/than the 2013 version. My only problems with it are:

1. Archer is really weak in this mode
2. Bosses to hit are in the air, making it annoying to hit them since archer isn't an option
3. Witches
4. Dumb randos
5. Archer isnt good

And those are my thoughts, what are yours?

 

Everyone is stupid and I have to revive three people at once. The bosses aren't particularly creative. The puzzle, parkour and maze are just filler content. Fighting hordes of mobs isn't fun. The intro isn't skippable. Instakill creepers and TNT. The classes are unbalanced. The magma boss is way too easy. The bosses take ages. The classes' abilities are just recycled from other games. The AoE on mage's fireball is horrible. Fighting hordes of mobs isn't fun and fighting hordes of mobs isn't fun.

I hate it.

Ok my review is:

ok after a few of these games, i can tell one thing:
the community kinda improved, unlike hypickle's
people arent the whiny assholes the people from hypickle is most of the time (ofc there is that one nerd that rages for everything but they are way less than hypickle's)

 

i thought it was pretty fun, but imma take a dump on the classas anyway

Archer, tbh this 1 is my fav, but its weak af. it only has one ability (other than the unltimate) and its complete trash, the arrows take an age to respawn. also glassy af

Brute, (i think thats what its called) usually love siesmic slam, but when you use it you die from fall dmg if your hp id <3.0.

Rouge, recall doesnt work 99% of the time

Mage, the trashiest class... i had such high hopes for this one, heals, fireball, i thought it eoyld be great. buuuuuut i then realised the fireball AoE was like .25 blocks and usually didnt work if it hit a mob spot on, and its glassy af

Huh, just realized this thread is a thing so I guess I'll comment.

Get a group of friends to fight. Doing normal mode is so trivial once you get a grasp of what to do. Playing with randoms will get you almost nowhere.

Challenger mode is so hard, me and my friends failed more than 15 times so far, most of it during 5th wave of minions right before Pumpkin Prince (5 times) and at Pumpkin King (3 times). We still haven't beaten it yet. I can't believe how we spent almost 10 hours just on this mode so far... videos ain't helping. Once one person cannot be revived, unless we're at Pumpkin King, we do hugs to start over since its literally impossible to continue without everyone.

Yes archer is so weak, there are way better options such as mage for fireballs or rogue cause of the dabbing (dash), double jump, and recall. The dabbing part of rogue deals twice the damage of the sword, and it's cooldown is only 1 second. The best way to deal insane amounts of damage is to dab back and forth between mobs, which deals a significant amount of damage in just a split second. Mage is very important for its ultimate in case someone dies (and they will, I have not been in a game without someone dying yet).


Mineplex is nearly ded at this point despite HH....

 

It’s so weird. I checked the player numbers and they had only 250 PC players to our 170 at roughly the same time.
