So, you all leave the fort, front gates open. You meet no wolves face-on on your way to the boat, but you do see a few skulking around.
As you near the sea, you can see the black cloud getting nearer.
The foggy sea lies before you, your boat tied to a pine, rocking on the small waves.

 

No one was following us, right?

Perception. You see nothing following you.
You notice suddenly how the black cloud seems to shred, and the birds scatter.
In their wake you see a massive galleon with torn brown-greenish sails, waving uselessly in a phantom wind, almost like Boindil’s hair.
The wood is old and you see algae and barnacles on the dark brown wood.
The ship has heavy collateral damage, including a snapped piece of mast, lots of loose rope, a hole in the side of the hull, and lack of railing here and there. You see figures moving about on the ship.
