HM is dead, y'all.

Cause of death: Forum glitches deleting draft over and over. Multiple rage quits ensued, until eventually he died of an anger-induced heart attack late on the 25th of October. His body was only discovered a few hours ago, and the bot was redeployed. Language matrices have been upgraded in order to supply a more seamless non-HM experience.

They're all shaped for humans, and the only one you can sort of get on your head looks ridiculously warped.

Surprisingly, in a massive pile, you can only find 7 'silver' rings. One of them is an average gold, with a tiny inscription of a werewolf on it. Four are a dim red, unadorned. One of them is a light blue, on the other hand, but only contains the ears of a rabbit. No red jewel. Finally, rounding out the set is the brightest one (by default), a softly glowing moss green.

You only have Han's word that all of these are silver, really.

They're still rather heavy, but enter your satchel without much protest. The man waves farewell, and disappears into the massive, crowded bar.

Point-Blank Incision sounds rather ramshackle, but I could see how the "cut-to-the-chase" utilitarianism of the stabbing would fit Thorston.

The bitterness in the man's voice slowly starts fading out, but it's still a very noticeable edge.
"Kynara. North. My tip? Take a wagon from 'round this wreck, sell it for a boat once you're up there. And as long as you're in the lakelands, tell someone that somethings goin' down here, will ya?"

Just the ears.
Your hearing gets absolutely ridiculous as you don the Rabbit's heaRing. Almost every single thing in the room, from the piece of dust that just audibly rested on the floor, to the beating heart of an injured man lifting himself of that same floor.
The daredevil-like hearing immediately cuts off after 10 feet, however. After that, it's at about half the volume you'd consider normal.

Zeth: "Huh? The ghost's still here? Tenacious one. Be glad you'll never have to deal with it. It's poison. Really bad poison. There are worse ones out there, but this one ranks pretty high. My problem with it is that the last samples were -"

Dez: "You know, the poison that replaced my blood."

His voice is quite loud with the ring on. Not deafening though, despite how insanely precise your hearing currently is.

Zeth does this weird 270 degree spin towards you.
"A cure? Really, now? Why... doesn't matter. Where is it?"
Matt: "Yup... I'll just bleed out on the floor here. Stupid lousy godsdamned potions"

Depends on local property values, which are probably, luckily, and rapidly sinking due to the recent explosions/fires/attacks/more explosions/giant monsters/assassinations/somehow even more explosions in the region.
For a ballpark, a couple thousand gold might buy you a small, average house. Stuff's expensive, and too many alchemists have devalued gold for it to be a real symbol of extreme wealth.
For specific prices, one would recommend talking to whoever owns and wishes to sell some houses (so either the city or some real estate mogul).

Added. The spell system's also slightly less op now, and you have 4 more skills you can prepare for the morning. (Sorry about that. Nerfs all around).

Luckily, the spell-daily use cap doesn't come into effect until the next post (scroll to the top of this one).
So nice loophole. You manage to rank up invisibility to III and then some before you run out of ambient energy in the area.

[Invisibility III]: Become invisible to the eye for 10 minutes. Invisibility does not fool truesight, and ends if caster attacks.

In that case: switch clothes to a white(?) dress as well to match the ears. Based on magic colour of course. >.<

If all the magic items haven't been stuffed into bags yet, continue stuffing. And not into that bag that burped flames or smth.

Time for me to actually get to working on the rest of ghostly spells? Reworking and streamlining and all that?

 

So I could only cast flame strike 3 times a day and hold person 1 time? If so how am I supposed to grind lvls on them

That fix seems like it'll work, at least as a temporary version.

I feel like the roguish skills lineup is actually pretty interesting, aside from the fact that it has a pretty big ability tax in the form of QBA and Double/Unfair Strike if you want to put out any form of reliable damage. It feels like you can build a character stat line using this in multiple different ways. I'm personally going for the "lots of attacks per turn" version, but debuffs, dodging, and stealth also seem playable.
