Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"If you could...that'd be nice." The woman says. She seems unphased by Ruby.


The guard takes the vial, looking at it with suspicion.

"Very well. We'll have it tested." The guard says, skeptical.

 

"Yeah. You mentioned that.. multiple times."

 

Ruby nods, warping near Vexa.


It's a green liquid with a blue gas inside, though sometimes wisps of one color spread temporarily into the other.
"Thank you, and pardon me... you're a lot more intimidating than The Matriarch talks about you as." They say before scurrying back to the Void.

Well, I keep forgetting, so I'm trying to make sure you don't.

 

"I won't. No worries."

 

Vexa seems to be hammering away at the Orichalcum again, an angry expression on her face.


The guard just pockets the liquid, taking it to the labs for investigation later.

 

Ruby keeps some distance.
“Hey, boss? Someone’s at the forge, says they’re looking for a weapon that can crush bone. Something’s off about ‘em, though.”


Meanwhile in the Realm of Light, anyone who checks on Amethyst’s room notices that it’s quite literally filled with fabric; with the door covered in blues, greens, and silver.

Sometimes I forget I told you, too. I’ll try to remember. Sorry I keep bringing it up so much.

 

"What's off about them?" Vexa asks, pausing.


A guard decides to investigate the room, concerned.

EBB approaches Thirteen, and upon getting close simply hovers in front of him until acknowledged.

“I can’t read their mind, among other things. They don’t seem guardian, either.”


What seems to be a giant sleeve rolls out from the now open doorway, the mass of fabric shifting. The guard can hear Amethyst’s muffled humming from behind the mass.

 

It takes me a few seconds, seeming getting out of a zoning-out phase.
"Yes?"

 

“Lady Idhaenna has requested your presence with a third-priority importance. You have approximately 13 hours before she seeks you out herself.”

 

"It must be your animal brain that keeps forgetting."

 

Vexa thinks for a bit, before taking the Orichalcum and diving into the volcano. She emerges a bit later, Orichalcum now gone, and heads down toward the shop.


"Miss Amethyst?" The guard calls.

 

"Would you kindly escort me to her?"

 

Ruby follows her back.


The humming stops, and the fabric shifts even more before Amethyst’s head pokes out from between two frilly pieces of fabric.
“Yes?”

“Of course. Is now a suitable time?”

I can’t believe you’re insulting yourself. I mean, you’re insulting me, but I’m still you.

 

I pat myself down, making sure I have everything on me, which I do seem to have.
"Certainly."

 

The woman is still waiting, glancing over at Ruby and Vexa once they come into view.

"Ah...you are the owner?" The woman asks.

"I am. My assistant tells me you're looking for a weapon capable of crushing bone?" Vexa asks, looking the woman up and down.

"Yes. I have...heard of your weapons. Many have said they're quite exquisite and...powerful. I thought I would purchase one myself." The woman says with a smile.

"Very well. Come inside, and I'll see what I can do for you." Vexa says after a pause, opening the door and heading inside. The woman politely waits for Ruby to enter before she does.

 

EBB heads to the portal room, leaving holographic decoys of itself behind to make following it easier... or possible, considering it simply warped.

 

I follow it at a brisk walking speed.

 

Ruby shakes her head and gestures for the woman to enter.
“After you.”

After a minute, you can see Idhaenna working with three holographic interfaces through the portal to her palace, EBB heading through and idling next to the lowest interface before turning to you.

 

The woman enters, Vexa heading into the back room to collect weapons. She looks around the weapons on display, seeming to affix her view on a dagger.


The guard steps into Amethyst's room.

"Is everything alright? You appear to have an awful lot of fabric strewn about." The guard asks.
