Generic Fantasy - [5/7]

*searches through the pile for some bag like objects*

 

“What is with these tremors?”
I race to the docks.

 

"I'm sorry no I haven't."

 

The boots... once you put them on, you feel as if your jumping ability just somehow went from superhuman to something even higher than that.
The gloves seem to be simple enough, and just grant a boost to survivability (+5 HP)

You make space for another 27 various magic items, and get breakfast at the same time.
Your scales are green right now, will you change them?

There! A bag... a red one. it's not super bright, but it's still one of the more powerful things in the pile.

There are 4 more tremors as you cross the 2 miles or so of city down to the docks, each one slightly stronger than the last.
As you weave through the crowds of fishermen, traders, and tourists, you can see that even the massive mountains on the other side of the river are trembling. Seems the shaking is coming from the south.
The Crown and Dagger is easy to find, mainly because most of the crowd seems to be headed there.
It's billed as a pub, but it's huge. Looks like it was made out of abandoned warehouse, at the very least. There are at least 3 floors, and crowds in every direction. There are bars situated every so often, and a few private rooms, but most of the space is tables.

The man looks crestfallen for a moment, regaining some of his composure to pick through the rubble. At the very least, he seems slightly uplifted, seeing that someone survived.

 

I hold up the bag with two hands towards the other floating bag shaped light in the air (which Dez is holding I hope).
"Here!"

 

“I hope I can find him here.”

 

I move the barricade away and exit the building.

 

This is slowly turning into another rp where I'll be able to jump to the moon

"Alright another bag." First I'll put the stuff that I just dropped in it

I step back in visibly suprise.
"Did you do something?!"

 

"Changed the color of ny scales"

I think this counts in the illusion magic school if that means anything

 

In that case it's blue according to HM's spell chart.

 

As you say that, a familiar voice replies from behind you.
"Relax, you won't need to find anything."

The small town seems more wrecked than it was last night. You can actually see damage, and your barricade looks like it took a beating. Several smaller buildings are collapsed, and you see mostly decayed corpse of... something in the center of town. It's little more than a mangled skeleton with some flesh clinging to it, but the multiple spears embedded inside and the scorch marks surrounding it say there was quite a battle.

The bag glows red for a moment before flames emerge from its lip. The inferno lasts maybe 10 seconds, and at the end a large burp can be heard from inside the bag.

There are two. a large, hooded green one, and a smaller, tighter blue one. That's actual color, not magic.

In reality, the scales are blue, but because it's illusion magic, it shows up in your view as... blue.

 

"What in the hell is that?"

I squint my eyes in suprise.

I turn around. "Oh, there you are. What's with these earthquakes? You guys didn't summon a world-ending demon or something too right?

"Did you do something again?!"

I have this thread watched, and I have the alert from your reply. The tag is less needed.

"Old man. You survived this thing?"

Wait a moment.
That's one of the guards you saw last night. His armor's even worse than the already shoddy thing you saw from the first meeting, and huge gaps of it are missing. Instead of a spear, he has an old and probably scavenged shortsword.

"Came outta nowhere last night. Took all of us 4 hours to kill the damned thing... and only 2 of us made it out. Tien's resting right now."

Another tremor goes through the building.
"Nah. I know of a guy who says he has an idea of what's going on, but you can't spy on earthquakes. Besides, those are to the south. The real problem is the maybe world-ending demon up north. Lots of things happened last night, I'll fill you in. But first, payment."

The red bag glows brighter for a moment, and a strange magic weave teleports the items somewhere once inside. You can't actually see where the fire comes from, almost like it's teleporting in the same way the items went out. Still, it's a magical fire, so there's that. The cloaks are cyan and grey respectively.

On that note, there's a knock on the door.
