Generic Fantasy - [5/7]

The man walks in an irregular and unappealing pattern back to the counter, where he takes out a rough stone key.
"First room on the. Left."

I head to the room and unlock it.

 

It unlocks with a thunk, and the door sounds like nails on a chalkboard as it slides open. Inside, the room is fairly standard. A bed on one end, a trunk with mufflers as to prevent sound when opening and closing, and a desk made of stone so that it can't be used as a drum without serious pain.

There is one consolation: The bed mattress has an extremely conformable filling. This probably has ulterior motives as well, as it makes absolutely no sound when you sit on it.

 

“Uh... that’s kinda odd.” I lock the door, set down my belongings, and get ready for bed.

I think I probably go to sleep after that, making sure to hide my valuable stuff as best I can.

The light of a new morning squeezes through the tiny window and slams you directly in the eyes. You'd roll around if you weren't fully jolted awake by a small earthquake. It's been a... less than restful night on this godawful bed.
Looking across the small room, you notice that the mage was stabbed and killed overnight. All of his possessions are gone.
The injured lady appears to be alive, but she's been robbed too. Still insane she slept through that jolt. Your possessions are still in their hiding places.
You can hear shouting out in the streets.

The light of a new morning streams through the windows and threatens to wake you up before a small earthquake does so instead. It was a good enough rest, and payday's here. Still, a few things are unnerving, mainly that you can't hear anything outside.

The morning light doesn't wake Dez up, as the inn's windows are facing west. What does wake himup is a small earthquake, startling a group of crows outside.
There's a sizable (~1.5m tall) pile of random (magical?) junk at the foot of his bed, and Ling's in the room, having just finished adding a ring to it.

You wake up in a ruined town, and can hear people investigating the wreckage. They haven't noticed you, however.

Well, day 4 has begun, and you start wherever you decided to leave off the third.
(I'd recommend just giving a quick reel of how you spent the evening)

 

Just step back and inspect my work for a bit before turning to look outside towards the sky. (Sun?)

 

I get out of bed, gather my things, leave everything how I found it, take the key, lock the door, and head back to the front desk.

 

I get out my overpowered death squad knife (also, what skill preparation stuff can I do?), make sure that my other stuff is still hidden, then I go look out the window.

 

*The Previous Evening"
I walked around the dock area of the city, trying to find something to eat.

 

I see if they're dangerous or not.
If they're not dangerous I go to meet them.


I've been waiting over a month for this and I'm going to get rid of my frustraton in any way possible. (I mean, Eradius' frustraion, I'm chill.)

 

Sadly, the sun is not magic :(

He'll remember his mistake for the rest of his life, as a thrown knife pierces his skull. The innkeeper produces a new sign from under the counter, replacing the old one on the wall.

“(0) days since an unnecessary death! I hope all of you have learned your lesson.”

Since you have the overpowered death squad knife, you can prepare up to 5 abilities (got nerfed from 10 a while back) up to tier 4.

You have to stand on the tip of your feet, but you manage to get your snout up to the already-high window. 2 men are arguing in the street below. One of them is making wild gestures, pointing north, while the other one looks like he's just done with the first guy's bullshit.

No, I meant just writing down how you spent the entire evening, you don't need to wait for me to respond on that.

It seems to be local farmers and traders, generally worried that a town was suddenly destroyed last night.
Safe, essentially.

 

I look at the pile "What the hell?"

 

Two people are arguing, and that causes earthquakes? There's something missing here. Once I'm done with preparing skills, I'll head down to see what's going on.

For preparing, can I get a special custom ability involving my grappling hook somehow? Maybe using it to knock people down, or use it to add momentum to a stab?

I'm assuming this means I used to be able to see the gods blood but it dissolved and now I can't see it?
