Well. When both eyes are placed into the gargoyle's eyes, cracks appear around them, filling with red light. These spread throughout the entire gargoyle.
It stands up, looking down at you.

 

I put my hand together and say "don't hurt us.... please"

 

Gargoyle: "What doth thou require so dearly that thou shall go through the trouble of procuring mine eyes?"
It has a deep, rumbling voice.
