    Yeah exactly. It's extremely easy to get to the point where you can influence certain events.

    Ok, to clarify I don't hate or dislike guilds. I just find it a bit monotonous.

    Even with all the guild politica rolling around, you still have a seemingly cosmetic part of Wynncraft that gives no advantage to the player. (other than bragging rights lol) What I mean by advantage is not relations with other people or socialization, I mean advantages like items. Now I understand that guilds aren't supposed to give advantages so the non-guild people are on the same level, however couldn't you give a few specific rare items for being a top guild? The only motivation for guilds to be top are their guild level. And the guild level (from my knowledge) only increases the guild capacity. Unlike player levels which allow you to put on better gear which widens the option to become more powerful.

    It does not hurt to reward the top guilds every month or so. You don't have to give them god damn mythics, anything extravagant. A good example on what to give the guild members are bombs. Maybe 1 xp bomb and 2 shout bombs for example. Guilds are boring because if you do not care about the inner part of guild politics, (like me) the you pretty much don't have any motivation to make progress on your guild.

    tl;dr wynncraft should reward you for having a top guild as people who don't care about politics don't care for guilds. (In a general sense). And player levels mean more than guild levels.

    Increasing player capacity does actually increase the strength of the guild.
    -More XP -> Higher Guilds Levels
    -More Money -> Stronger Defenses
    -More Players -> Faster Wars

    Additionally, increasing guild levels also allows you to use higher level mobs to defend, allowing you to control more territories etc etc.

    Besides, there's more to guilds than "politics". Wars are one of the few types of endgame content in terms of combat, and it's quite unique too. Maybe, just maybe, some players don't only care about boosting your level, but also about actually having fun with friends and the community.

    Not to be a downer here but in terms of a non-guild perspective, guilds give nothing. Some players (like me) find that wars and guild activities are pointless for they don't reward the player in game. Why do wars and guild activities when you earn nothing. (In terms of ingame stuff) If you like guilds for the pure enjoyment of guilds, cool. But, some people will not be motivated to do jack crap in guilds, as there is no ingame reward.

    I guess at a fundamental level, guilds are pointless and font give anything in return, but its what you put into them and what satisfaction you get out of it that makes it worth it, tbh i was the same way but even joining a small, basically dead guild showed me how fun they can actually be, either on a small scales, community or friend guild, or a large scale war and alliance based guild

    Same principal for video games as a whole. Some people will not be motivated to do jack crap in video games, as there is no real life reward, aside from enjoyment (which we're ignoring apparently). There's no need to add rewards or stuff like that to top guilds. Besides, that'd probably screw everything up and create a larger monopoly or duopoly or triopoly in territories.

    honestly what I'm getting from this thread is that this guy (I guess rightfully?) feels that guilds give no material reward and are thusly pointless to participate in

    so a material reward would likely change this person's opinion

    god fucking dammit it was a guild housing thread in disguise all along guys

    I agree with you as guild are kind of pointless as the money is all contributed or dropped from territories which could be time consuming to get like 5k emeralds on the guild bank and members of the top guilds should get something special but not things like mythics maybe high tier cosmetics or pets at the end of a month and for wars the only point of wars is to Gain more money or XP for your guild

    Agreed. I find that wars end up becoming a back and fourth capturing of territories and it's hella repetitive. The fact that smaller guilds do wars for fun and cannot hold the territory for more than 10 minutes really annoys me.

    Usually wars will end up being a test to see how long a guild will last in the back and fourth of capturing. But it would be better if there was more effort needed when capturing territory... Making it seem more like a "war". This would lower the number of territories large guilds have, reduce the rate which territories are exchanged, and best of all, allow for more guilds to actually hold land for a reasonable amount of time.

    i can agree to some extant
    while it sucks i just think thats how it is, unfair to an extant but so is life

    What ive found from warring in guilds for almost a year now, is that i love the strategy the most. If youre in a smaller or community based guild, it might not be as big as a thing since youre mostly warring solo or with a small group of people in a small area for terrs. (For the record this isnt an advertisement for Oys) But being in Odysseia has made me realize what i really love about warring. Its leading a group of people to defend an area or attack a certain guild. The most fun ive ever had warring was a few days ago when my guild was attacked by 7 different guilds, for 6 hours straight, and it was just my guild fighting and 1 ally guild helping. At the end of the day the least amount of territories we reached was 14. It's hard to explain to people that werent there, but it was an amazing time leading a guild like that. I wish i had recorded how many wars we did on that day but it was most likely, well over 150

    Guild wars suck and they're the worst thing about Wynncraft. It's so broken that it's not even a feature at this point. It's just horde mode from Gears of War but shit. Its not done well, there's no strategy to it, and whaling on 80k hp mobs is not my definition of fun.The guilds members stand nothing to gain from guilds. A way of incentivizing people to join guilds such as you get X amount of XP/Loot boost if your guild has X no. of territories or Y amount of level would really help. So people would participate and do stuff since they stand to gain from this too.

    If youre talking pree 2018, id agree, but after the big guild patch, id argue guilds are the only well made thing in wynn
    maybe the actual wars, but as i said in post just before, theres a whole large scale warring factor that is a major thing for people that like strategy, planning, organization and leading.
    idk how much it would add, but most of the major war players actually tested the mobs with Jp and gave pointers on how to improve to make them more fun and challenging
    really no one gains anything from wynn, so id say this as an argument is kind of flawed

    If we're thinking in these terms, what do you gain for your REAL LIFE SELF WHICH IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN A VIRTUAL CHARACTER from playing video games? Nothing except for a good time. Same deal with guilds. You participate in guilds to have fun. You play video games to have fun. Same principal. Even if you or some others don't enjoy it, many people have lots of fun socializing, coordinating attacks etc etc with guild wars.
