Honestly, I can live with that. Dream scenario is a being with a group of (N?)PC's.

Actually, that's pretty great. My character doesn't have any (external) conflicts, so you could stick me with essentially any character.

Just because we're not playing together doesn't mean we're not inhabiting the same universe. A big part of suspension belief is that A=A, or that if different entities do the same thing, it has the same results. Just because our characters are split doesn't mean we're arbitrarily cut between tech levels.

Yeah, this one is pretty much my fault. My railroading instincts meant that I didn't plan much for you to do if you flew out of town, and my actions were based on having nothing for you to do. It was bad writing by the seat of my pants (worse than usual, I mean)

He doesn't actively want to murder anybody, and actually interacts with NPC's in a positive manner.
Dez's main trait in terms of kill-counts is massive, unintentional collateral damage.

Physical separation does not mean they don't exist in the same universe.
Still, you have a good point, all I'm saying is that a character just sort of getting OP isn't really how playing a role works. It's about interactions, how they grow as a character. This is even heavier on that aspect than the more stat focused D&D, which still has role-playing as 2/3 of the name. Growth in (or loss of) power is typically linked to a character arc, and while wish fulfillment in moderation is ok, it shouldn't be the dominating force of a character.

 

I strongy diagree. Not only different races are more advancd than others, but even different regions are more advnced than others.

You used to respond once a day. How the fuck am I supposed to build up a character from this few interactions?! Also, this RP has been up for a little bit over a month, there isn't exactly much development I could do in that time period and I do other things than just RP.
